Positiv:: Outstanding buffet- many choices including gluten free, sweets, salmon, variety of cheeses, meats, breads, fresh fruit, cereals. Also hot foods, quiches, potatoes, eggs, crepes. You name it, they had it. Staff bent over backwards to make sure we had everything needed.

Positiv:: Beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the beach and promenade. The staff are wonderful, friendly yet professional. It's a small hotel. We went with our two kids who loved it but don't expect lots of facilities, it's a small pool but they enjoyed it as it was like having a private pool! The facilities are all around ie. down on the beach, along the promenade, 10 minute walk to the Aquarium which is fab, the cable cars, shops, cafes, all very buzzy around the hotel. A small touch of luxury amidst the beachfront!
Negativ:: The only thing that worried me was our room, which was a duplex which is great on one hand, as lots of room, but the stairs are marble and quite open, I was worried with kids up and down. I wasn't keen on letting my 9 year old sleep upstairs in case she tried to use the stairs in the night etc. I would have preferred a flat room on one level. It was very modern and lovely but the stairs were not good for kids or older people.

Positiv:: Five of us co e here every year and will now only stay at Sahara Sunset. Great place and right next to our favourite bar.
Negativ:: Gates between blocks locked. Always had to walk around the edge of complex to get in and out. Was not like this previously.

Positiv:: location good, nice ambiance and feel to the apartments, very spacious 2 bed room apartment. TV in main bedroom and lounge, great size balcony. Lovely seaview. Resort itself in great location, close to beach and main promenade. Very clean resort and nice pool area. Nice cocktails.
Negativ:: A few what felt like petty rules, for example our towels were really yukky so we asked for them to be changed but were told by housekeeping as it wasn't our day for the rota they couldn't be changed. We weren't asking for an extra set, just to have them a day early.

Positiv:: We really liked the apartment we were given, it was newly renovated. The views from the terraces were stunning. We had everything at our facilities: a fridge, a blender, a dishwasher, microwave, oven, everything. There were all the necessary dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. The beds were very comfortable. We really liked the pool and the roof terrace with a jacuzzi with amazing views. We were a family of four and we found the two bedroom apartment very spacious.
Negativ:: Sadly, we didn’t have enough days to stay there :)))

Negativ:: I thought the apartment was dated for the cost of it. Ants were everywhere, in the toilet, bedroom and kitchen. One of the pools had scum on from peoples sun cream. This made me wonder how clean the pools were.

Positiv:: Im Grossen und Ganzen alles schön sauber und gepflegt Nette Anlage, größtenteils sehr nettes Personal. Lage direkt am Hafen und an der Promenade ist top. Wir hatten Halbpension. Frühstücksbüffet vielseitig, sogar Produkte für Veganer und Allergiker. Abendbüffet abwechslungsreich und geschmacklich gut. Hier und da kann man immer was verbessern, aber das ist Geschmacksache.
Negativ:: Ein Fahrstuhl ist leider ausgefallen und generell könnte man hier und da ein bisschen renovieren. Leider hatten wir auch Kakerlaken im Zimmer, ok in Spanien kann sowas passieren, aber in einem 4* Hotel muss sie nicht plötzlich am Kulturbeutel sein. Direkt vor dem Hotel ist der Müll des Hotels deponiert, das trübt den Blick dann etwas und könnte das Ungeziefer erklären.

Positiv:: Great location,very central in the lovely pueblo. When we wanted to go the beach , we simply took an uber. (Top tip= cars / taxis don't tend to be able to drive to front of hotel- so either we walked up to the main drag- or took the lift from the square down to the lower road). Wonderfully clean. Beautiful plants everywhere. Onsite restaurant Escorpio offers great food & great service (we needed to book as the terrace was almost full)
Negativ:: The tea in the rooms is awful!- suggest bring your own teabags if you like a morning cuppa!

Positiv:: The location of this Hotel is excellent with superb restaurants on your doorstep. If you are looking for a relaxing hotel to recharge this is the place for you. The hotel staff could not be more helpful or friendly. The room was spotless as was the whole hotel. We stayed Bed & Breakfast and the terrace where breakfast is served is devine with fantastic views. I would definitely return.

Positiv:: Pool area was clean as were all the public areas.
Negativ:: The hotel ran on a skeleton staff, lunch times were the worst with 1 bar person , 1 cook and 1 waiter. Breakfast buffet was ok but not enough staff to clean so the area looked chaotic and messy. Hotel rooms were still being cleaned at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

Negativ:: always dirty dishes at restaurant. Almost no clean dishes there. I saw "not enough cleaned dishes "every time at restaurant. Also they clean room badly. I mean not enough. Dust everywhere. Bed making is really bad. there were always sand from beach and some dust on the bed after bed making. Also, your fitness teacher told me that I must wear sports shoes and can't attend with kids to fitness lesson. first of all, we don't have sports shoes with us here for vacation. so really strange that she told me that. I could do all activity without it actually. Second of all, we sometimes can not or we don't want leave kids somewhere. they don't have any dangerous activity at fitness lesson. She has extra yoga mat with her but she even didn't give it to my kids. my kids did all work on cold floor during class. really disappointed. I thought its family friendly hotel, but it was not.

Positiv:: Newly refurbished hotel is very modern and clean. Staff are very friendly and the pool area and rooftop bar are very nice. Never any problem getting a sunbed regardless of the time. 9th floor balcony was a lovely and quiet place to lie in the late afternoon/evening. Views from there and the 8th floor bar were incredible. Rooms had 2 sinks and a large shower. Fridge for drinks was a good size.
Negativ:: Few issues with power cuts and water outages. Key card stopped working 5 times throughout our week stay which meant long trips back down to reception from 7th floor room. Pool and jacuzzi could have been cleaner as there was quite a bit of sand on the steps of the pool and the bottom of the jacuzzi. Bedsheets not changed once during the stay.

Positiv:: Das Personal im Restaurant war Katastrophe. Essen gut aber nichts besonderes. Es gibt abends keine Wurst oder Käse Auswahl wie beim Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind schön und sauber da gibt es nix zu meckern. Die Lage ist sehr gut direkt am Strand. Bis auf die Mängel am Service im Restaurant alles in Ordnung.

Positiv:: Great location with beautiful sea views. Room was large with a lovely big walk-in shower and double sinks and there were plenty coat-hangers in the wardrobes. Food excellent with good choices at both breakfast and dinner. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is excellent and only a few minutes walk to the marina with shops, restaurants and bars all along the flat walkway in each direction. It is set fairly high above the walkway/beach with stunning views of the sea and marina. The hotel is immaculately clean and right on the beach. Great bus service at the door to Fuengirola, Mijas Pueblo, Benalmadena Pueblo, Torremollinos etc for reasonable prices and tickets can usually be bought from the driver. A great spot for a holiday in the sun!
Negativ:: I was disappointed that at time of booking we were not informed that the lift to the beach was out of order. There was a note at the hotel giving directions through the Hotel Triton for disabled wheelchair guests but that was still a trek for them. We heard a lot of guests complaining to each other that the stairs from the beach/walkway were exhausting especially in the heat. I found it difficult because of a health problem. Apparently the lift won't be working until 15th July 2019 which was posted on a sign by TUI. Desserts at dinner could have been better. On several occasions there was bread & butter pudding, custard or rice pudding - although there were other choices like cake, fruit, ice-cream etc I expected more from a 4 star hotel in Spain.

Positiv:: Friendly and helpful staff. Great hotel facilities - a gaming room with board games and billiard. An outdoor pool with a daily aqua fit exercise and bar. Terraces for sunbathing with umbrellas. An indoor pool with saunas and massages. Fitness center and outdoor table tennis. Daily events like Bingo, Spanish for beginners, table tennis, darts, relaxation, ... and also evening events like Flamenco, Brazilian show, Dance night, ... Our room was well equipped with a small fridge, TV, a huge bed, great wifi and sound-proof window+door to the balcony. The good thing was that the beach was right next to the hotel. Breakfast was good with large variety of different dishes.

We set the temperature to the maximum (35 °C) but it was still cooling to ~22 °C. Some dinner dishes were tasteless and there was no vegetable for breakfast but tomatoes.

The show is a bit rushed and superficial, with all effort concentrated on getting you to pay for very expensive photos with the birds. It is not made clear that there is a charge until well after the pictures have been taken, and you don;t get to see the photos before buying. And, of course, you are not allowed to take your own photos. Hard to refuse though, when kids are keen.

Es gibt um 10 Euro Kaution Handtücher zu leihen, das stand leider zuvor nicht auf den Webseiten. Erster Shuttle zum Strand erst um 10 Uhr, letzter Shuttle zum/vom Strand schon um 17 Uhr. Pools überfüllt und nicht sehr sauber, nur offen von 9 bis 20 Uhr.

The room was quite spacious and the bathroom easily accessible with a wheelchair.
Negativ:: Just as a note to disabled persons: The ramp at the entrance is too steep for disabled persons in a wheelchair traveling alone. I managed to climb it once by myself with a certain amount of momentum and without a backpack. If you are not traveling alone this should be no problem.

There was nothing in the room to tell you about breakfast timing etc, couldnt even contact the reception because there wasnt any guidance on the phone. I paid a lot of money to stay at this place and when I asked for an iron they asked for a deposit and didnt even give us an ironing board, just an iron. Not the level of service I expect for the money that we paid.

Die Matratze hängt durch. WLAN ist kostenpflichtig 12 Euro. Das Schwimmbecken kostet 1 Std 10 Euro. In der Kitchenette fehlt 1 Gischirrhandtuch. Dadurch das Besteck alles vom Vormieter verdreckt. Ein kleines Spülmittel wäre gut. Extrem spartanisch. Das Zimmer hat den ganzen Tag keine Sonne. Das gigantische Treppenhaus nimmt das Licht. Zum Sonnenuntergang 1 Std Sonne. Zum Strand sieht nah aus. Tatsächlich fährt angeblich ein Bus alle 15 min. Gewartet 1 Std. Der setzt einen dann irgendwo aus. Man muss sich einen Weg suchen. Zurück eh nicht. Das Hotel verspricht durch den gigantischen Eingangsbereich sehr viel . Tatsächlich bleibt der Besucher auf der Strecke. Die fleißigen Putzfrauen wischen den Dreck hin und her. Habe das Apartment selber gereinigt. Es hat Materialpreis 5 Euro gekostet. Warum das Hotel daran spart ist mir schleierhaft.

Positiv:: I loved the location, the cleanliness and the price! Very close to many restaurants, buses and train station. The room is clean and comfortable. The hostal is in the town center but no noise at all, I slept like a baby! haha Very nice!

Positiv:: The desk service was great, and we got to check in early. The room was fantastic, very clean and spacious. Continental breakfast in the morning was fab.
Negativ:: The balcony wall was a bit too low for my partner, he felt he could quite easily fall over it if he was to trip. The shower head was on a funny angle and couldn't really be adjusted so it shot straight out the Shower. It just meant I had to hold it when in use.

Positiv:: We were very happy with our view of the pool and the sea.The beds were comfortable and the apartment had every thing we needed.was impressed with the washing up liquid and toiliteries normally i would have to buy them.Also on arrival one of the locks was broke and instantly the repair man came to fix it.
Negativ:: I have to say the shop on site was very expensive as was the hotel bar for its local beers.

Positiv:: Die Lage des Hotels ist top, hat uns sehr gefallen. Auch die Küche in unserem Apartement war gut ausgestattet. Die Betten waren bequem, wir haben gut darin geschlafen.
Negativ:: Das Hotel ist sehr ringhörig, was besonders Nachts störend war. Im Bad war ein unangenehmer Geruch, auch nachdem geputzt wurde.

Negativ:: Staff are ridiculously rude I have a disability and I was going about my day when the receptionist shouted at me that I’m disturbing everyone in reception he had me crying in reception till the manager came and apologized on his behalf, the fridge door was broke the phone didn’t work there was no kettle and the cleaners came in once . For a 10 night stay it really put a damper on my holiday, please avoid this hotel saving a couple of euros is not worth it

Negativ:: Terrible hotel. One party member didn't stay there at all and the other checked out one day early. Dark dingy room in the eves of the building with no air and a broken air con unit. Dirt on floors and smokers in the neighbouring room. High balcony walls except for the one that looked into the neighbours balcony. If you wanted to breath some fresh air you would have to stand on the concrete chair on the balcony to see over the wall! No kettle, lots of wardrobe space with no hangers, no laundry facilities. Unpleasant staff advised the crying guest (my mother) there was nothing they could do until there was a manager there which wasnt until the next day. She was then moved to another poor standard of room but this time with a low wall so there was at least some air able to pass into the room. The balcony was ground level and backed onto what I believe was the staff quarters as they all seemed to have their smoke breaks here. Cold breakfasts and you cant take your coffee out to enjoy in the spanish sun. All the staff seemed miserable and none were remotely pleasant. Located up a steep hill so thankfully my mother is mobile. You have to pay for wifi. The holiday was cut short because it had just become unbearable for my mum. Shame on you booking.com for selling this property on your site. Destroyed what was a highly anticipated family holiday.

Negativ:: Das Management ist noch nicht in 21 Jahrhundert angekommen, Safe im Schrank vorhanden, aber nur gegen € 3,- Gebühr pro Tag, Internett auch nur Gegen Gebühr. Wir haben das Zimmer übernommen, gleich nach Check In haben wir folgendes festgestellt und reklamiert: Klimaanlage Kompressor auf dem Balkon macht laute Geräusche, Wasser fließt nicht weg beim Waschbecken, Gurtabroller Rollo Fenster Schlafzimmer gerissen, 1 Licht in Schlafzimmer ohne Funktion. In 2 Tagen wurde NICHTS geändert. Frühstück OK aber kein Fisch ( bei 4 Sternen sollte es sein) Fazit: Maximal 2 Sternen

Negativ:: Very poor facilities for self catering. When we arrived there was no kettle no toaster one cup one teaspoon one saucepan. I asked at reception and got a kettle and toaster the next morning but said they had no cups so we bought 2 mugs in shop nearby.

Negativ:: The music at the pool was extremely loud (pounding all day).I was unable to read or listen to my own music. Lots of other guests said the same thing. I twice requested that it be turned down a little but it never was. For this reason I would not return to Vistamar. Everything else was fine.
