Positiv:: Excellent cost-benefit, great hospitality, right in the city centre. Breakfast was great and the items the staff left in the room for us (to name some: chocolate, coffee, soft drinks..) made the difference to turn the stay into a cosy one.

Positiv:: This hotel had everything a tourist could wish for. Fantastic friendly staff and centrally located for restaurants and attractions all within walking distance as we only took a from airport to hotel.

Positiv:: The staff here are incredible, so friendly and open, they made a good stay even better. The location of the hotel was nearby to everything. I was able to run to the Bom Jesus in the morning (however I should have listened to staff and run home rather than to the statue as the last half of the run was all up hill). There are many great restaurants around and the breakfast in the hotel was great with eggs and roasted mushrooms but also breads and pasteries.

Negativ:: The initial room had a smoker in the room the night before, which was not allowed. The staff upgraded me to another room and were very apologetic and will call the previous guest for the issue.

Positiv:: Fantastic little design hotel right in the middle of Braga. The room was a dream and we loved the breakfast.

Positiv:: Manuela on the reception desk is was so very helpful and welcoming. It was in a central location. 15 minutes walk from the main bus station and the same for the train station. The room and hotel is a little old-fashioned in terms of style but that was not a problem. Beautifully clean, nice bed linen, great shower and the breakfast was very good - all for 63 euro for the night. We were impressed!

Positiv:: Location is absolutely great, it could not be better if you wish to visit the essential places in the downtown. Room is very clean and it (Twin room facing to the plaza) was very spacious. Bathroom with two sinks and the bedroom even had an armchair. Hall and inside stairs looks very nice. Service at the reception was very, very friendly. We received great tips about cafeterias, pastelarias and restaurant. Persons at reception made miracles when arranged how hotel guest could park at the front of the hotel even if there were only 6 parking places. Do not be afraid if it looks full - drive directly there and ask the reception if there is a free spot for your car. Air condition worked and it could be adjusted by yourself.

Negativ:: - not being able to pay with a card in the bar - water in the shower was impossible to set, it kept changing from cold to boiling just like that - breakfast on our first morning was a disaster, tables left dirty, food was not being refilled, the options were too small and the waitress didn't speak english

Positiv:: The hotel has beautiful location in the middle of beatiful park. The view from the room was amazing over the city and the church next door.

Negativ:: Even if over all the breakfast was ok, most of the fresh fruits and vegetables in were barely eatable and the instant coffee was not good at all. The interior design looked like it had been invested in, but it didn't conpliment the beautiful old building.

Negativ:: No proper hotel concept . All seems run of the mill. It should be a boutique hotel, original and as exceptional as the location. But breakfast and amenities are similar to what was some years ago a budget hotel from an international operator.

Positiv:: The guy welcomes us could speak English and also was very friendly. There were 5 cats and they were also friendly. It is heaven for cat lovers. The garden had a a lot of fruit trees and we were allowed to have fruits which was very nice. The location is 25-30 minutes away from the braga station, but we could walk no problem, as the route was pretty simple. You can even have delicious breakfast at a cafe with quite reasonable price on the way to the station and see some nice view as well. I would definitely come back here again.

Negativ:: There was no reception so it was a bit confusing where to go ask questions. I ended up emailing them, but she came to our room right after reaching out so it was not a big problem, though you need to be able to speak Portuguese (great opportunity to learn). We stayed there 3 nights and 4 days but had to used the same towel for 3 days so it was nice if we had an extra. I felt the smell of the towels was a bit weird. I thought we could have a small simple breakfast (just coffee and bread) even without booking beforehand reading the descriptions on the website but we couldn’t, so it is better if they can mention about breakfast more clearly on the booking.com website.

Positiv:: Das Hotel ist ein architektonischew Kunstwerk - eine starke Modernisierung in einer alten Klosteranlage: sehr interessant gemacht. Allerdings ist die Zimmerausstattung nicht wirklich praktiscch (Doppelbett zu klein, keine Ablagemöglichkeiten, keine Stühle). Die Klostergartenanlage und die Räumlichkeiten des Klosters sind jedenfalls einen Besuch wert.

Positiv:: The whole experience and the Monastery was something special.

Positiv:: I liked the concept of remodelling a wing of the Monastery in a contemporary, minimal style to provide guest accommodation. Relaxing and tranquil location. Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably varied and tasty cold buffet breakfast selection with tea or coffee made by staff on request. Plenty of on-site parking spaces available. A bonus was free access to the impressive Monastery itself at any time during opening hours.

Negativ:: I felt that while the overall design concept was good, some of the details were poor and impractical - eg. no handle on sliding windows (you need to use the palm of your hands to slide the windows open); a leather door pull on cupboard door instead of a more conventional handle; only one low-level shower-head holder instead of a riser rail. Glazed bathroom partition walls, presumably conceived to give a sense of more space and provide more light within the room, offered no privacy (I had a single room, but I assume the layout of double rooms was similar). There was an extensive crack (which I reported) in one of the large glazed bathroom panels which is likely to be difficult to rectify. While access to the accommodation is available 24 hours a day, there were two occasions when, on returning mid-evening, I had to wait a good 10 minutes at the front gate before staff were able to respond. I appreciate there's only one member of staff providing cover in the evenings, but this seemed an excessive time to wait - it would have been reassuring if staff had communicated they were on their way via the intercom system as I was beginning to think nobody was available to answer the door.

Negativ:: The lock in the doors to the rooms was a bit too tricky. And the black darkly lit stairway is an accident waiting to happen. Lol. Otherwise, this place is amazing. I want to live there. The shower was great. The bed was comfy. I woke up in a monastery!!! The chapel is gorgeous. The grounds are spectacular. The fact that they only have 9 rooms means you often have the place to yourself. It’s unreal.

Positiv:: The place is really quiet, except for the bells, and the bathroom has a nice shower. There's plenty of free parking space and the location is charming if you love old stones.

Positiv:: The room was quite large and the other guests were friendly. It is within reasonable walking distance to the town centre, but not if you have any difficulties walking.

Negativ:: We stayed in this hotel for ten days and the staff appeared that everything was a chore to them. They didn't even tell us where the restaurant was. When we realised it was a different place to where breakfast was, they said we couldn't use it as it was full and that we couldn't order room service as the kitchen was too busy. This was after a long day of work and there are no eateries near by. I feel that staying this long in a small hotel, the staff would be more familiar as time went on. Very disappointing. I feel they were perhaps busier than usual for this time of year, as we stayed for the Dance World Cup. Eggs / other supposedly hot breakfast was cold every morning, no matter what time we arrived. The room was spacious and clean (although they never took glasses out, we had a build up of 4 at one point before taking them out ourselves). Such a shame, as it is within reasonable walking distance to the centre. But we would have liked to relax in the lovely hotel bar or by the pool etc some evenings - but the staff just didn't make this a pleasant experience at all.

Positiv:: The reception staff spoke enough English to check us in and show us to the parking spot (which is underground in a nearby carpark that connects to the hotel for 5euro). The hotel is located very centrally yet our room at the back of the hotel was very quiet. There is a small lift (if you have lots of luggage you might need to make two trips). The room was very spacious as was the bathroom, with everything being very clean. The availability of AC is great when needed. Breakfast was included with our room rate and consisted of a good selection of continental items. An excellent value hotel and would definitely recommend!

Negativ:: The AC is controlled through reception (you have to call them for it on/off), not a big issue just slightly annoying vs having your own remote.

Negativ:: The elevator was small and unable to accommodate more than two people at a time, never mind bringing luggage.... it also felt very unsafe. The couch and beds were old and uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok. We had to keep repeating to the staff certain instructions. Not due to lack of understanding, but just lack of responsiveness.

Positiv:: Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr guten Lage. Eine Bushaltestelle, um ohne Auto in die Stadt zu gelangen, ist gleich in der Nähe. Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Hotel verfügbar. Das Frühstück war gut und für unsere Bedürfnisse ausreichend. Das Familienzimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Personal war immer nett und sehr hilfsbereit.

Negativ:: Ist man länger im Hotel, könnte die Auswahl des Frühstücks etwas gering und eintönig sein (nur eine Sorte Käse, Wurst usw.).

Positiv:: Nettes Personal, saubere Zimmer, Kaffee und Tee kostenlos rund um die Uhr, in der Nähe der Universität

Negativ:: Das Frühstück war absolut in Ordnung. Ein bißchen Gemüse, mehr Auswahl an Käse und Rücksicht auf Menschen mit besonderen Ernährungsgewohneiten (glutenfrei, vegan) wäre jedoch toll.

Positiv:: Balcony

Negativ:: 1 glass. No way to heat water in room. Skimpy towels. Had to find someone in parking garage to exchange parking ticket stamped by hotel. and prepaid. Convoluted manner of operation.

Positiv:: Very Nice place in the middle of the town, very clean. And the hostess is very helpfull !

Negativ:: Bad to reach/find with car. Gps is confused when you drive on gps. But the lady of the house was very helpfull and when you are there, there is place to park for free in front of the door.

Positiv:: Ich habe ein sehr großzügiges Zimmer mit Balkon bekommen. Es war möglich sehr spät einzuchecken.

Positiv:: Sonst war alles ok. Da ich nur eine Übernachtung hatte kann ich nicht viel mehr sagen.

Negativ:: Kein kleiderschrank vorhanden. Und die Toilettenbürste fehlte

Positiv:: Super großes Zimmer, Koffer konnten nach check out noch im Hotel verbleiben. Tolle Lage gleich im Zentrum.

Negativ:: food was poor....vegetable lasagne (pasta)was not cooked properly, choice of veg was basic and sauce had dried out. Breakfast was basic and very minimal. We stay in the Ibis chain a lot and this did not rate well.

Negativ:: After 9 am the water in the shower was not warm enough! Not enough electric plugs A bit noisy Breakfast is expensive for the quality and Portuguese standard prices

Positiv:: Hoteĺ is located in te centre. Parking was beside the corner. Hospitality was very good for reasonable price

Positiv:: Our room was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable (hard mattress). There is a social area on each floor with a TV and a kids corner (books and board games available). As the residence is inside a mall, there are plenty of shops and food options (supermarket as well). Perfect location, right in the center.

Negativ:: Parking is difficult and expensive. You can park on the main square (free at night and at weekends, EUR 1 per hour during the day) or the parking garage. Our room had no view but as the rest of the things were great, we really didn't mind.

Positiv:: I dont understand the negatives reviews. The hotel is placed in a perfect location,the rooms are very clean and confortable, with beautiful views, the people are nice and available, and the breakfast is good and plenty. I think you get a good value for what you pay, and would repeat if i come back to Braga

Negativ:: The location inside the mall can be tricky to find

Positiv:: Excellent location in the city center. Welcoming reception. Nice breakfast. On the rainy day, you can go to the shopping mall not leaving the building.

Negativ:: Hotel located in the shopping mall, not easy to find. Aircon wasn't working. Some places in the room were quite dusty.

Positiv:: Great, warm, welcoming, helpful, staff, big, clean, rooms, good breakfast, good location

Negativ:: I always like to find something that can be improved. Some of the beds may be long in the tooth, and can be uncomfortable. All other aspects of the hotel exceeded expectations.

Negativ:: Leider waren die Gerüche sowohl im Zimmer (kam aus dem Bad) als auch im Frühstücksraum nicht so appetitlich. Ansonsten ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Negativ:: Bathroom was problem.. .. there is no door to lock while taking shower.. water flows outside floor.. Air cooler doesn't work.. too

Positiv:: Einfache aber gute Unterkunft im Stadt Innern von Braga. Als Startpunkt für die Erkundung super gelegen. Ruhige Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Frühstück einfach aber lecker.

Positiv:: Sehr zentral.

Negativ:: Ist in einer Shoppinggallerie untergebracht, was eher gewöhnungsbedürftig ist. Frühstück war sehr basic. Es gab keinen Fön und nur Seife zum Duschen statt eines Duschgels.

Positiv:: Staff were nice. Terrace was also nice. Good value for the stay.

Negativ:: Noisy room. Impossible to not be awaken during the night. AC was not working. Dirty bath. Too much dust. Breakfast was really poor (missing tea for example). Old mattresses. The lamp was broken.

Positiv:: The staff were very nice and helpful. Our quintuple room was very clean (especially the bathroom) and comfortable. Great location. We were able to relax and sleep well since it was quiet all throughout the day and that night.

Positiv:: This residential is super central! The accomodations are good, may seem a little old, but it's well preserved. Very silent (at least my floor and has a good breakfast - very complet (pity that the breakfast room doesn't have sunlight). The staff is available 24h and they have a partnership with a parking to park your car if needed.

Negativ:: The room had very few electrical outlets and the Residencial is inside an old shopping mall (which can be a bit creppy, but it's Ok and safe!). :) The elevator is moody!

Positiv:: Quite a good hotel not far from the city center. All worked fine, enough space in the room, very friendly English speaking staff. The accommodation worth its price.

Negativ:: Nothing special

Negativ:: A proper double bed rather than two singles joined together would have been nice. Mattress was a bit lumpy but this shouldn't be a problem in the future as they were all being replaced as we left.

Positiv:: The hotel seems to be 20 years old, but well built. Well kept and clean however not renovated. Bathroom with all facilities, room clean. Good breakfast. Ok for one-two days stop, just not romantic.

Negativ:: Difficult parking, no facilities in the neighborhood, however city center is 2km drive.

Positiv:: This hotel was in a perfect location to Braga Center and had very helpful and welcoming staff. The hotel was very clean and the staff tried to help with our requests.

Negativ:: This hotel needs a little attention as some areas in the room were not maintained. Although immaculately clean their were a lot of signs of wear and tear. Some items missing ( broken bathroom shelf, ripped curtain chipped furniture etc)

Positiv:: Perfect location 50m from Cathedral with super restaurants close by very friendly and helpful staff, room clean and well equipped.

Positiv:: We were in Braga for a dance competition so weren't in the hotel an awful lot. From the moment we checked in the staff couldn't be more helpful. Offered to keep our passports in their safe, booked taxi's very quickly for us when need and we were always greeted with a warm welcome. We stayed is a family room - 2 adults 2 children. Plenty of space for us all and the room as always spotlessly clean. The hotel also felt very safe and secure. x

Negativ:: Das Zimmer war dunkel und eng. Nicht für ein längeren Aufenthalt geeignet. Sehr altmodisch eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war nicht empfehlenswert!

Positiv:: Everything. Great location. Extremely helpful staff. Very spacious and comfortable. We even had a fridge in the room.

Negativ:: I am sorry to say it but the hotel is a huge disappointment starting with unattentive and ignorant front desk staff ( a lady having her private phone calls with customers waiting ) through humid, fungus smelling rooms ( fungus actually residing in the bathroom and on the window frames ) to the hotel structure that looks very worn out and patchy. Add a room price, poor breakfast and the overall picture is poor. I highly advise against visiting the place.

Positiv:: This hotel is simply amazing! We stayed a day longer than planned just to enjoy ourselves and have a lazy day.. The price is extraordinarily cheap and the facilities (swimming pool, fitness, sauna, sun terrace, free parking, breakfast) and location (on the top mount Bom Jesus) are stupendous. If I ever return to Braga, this is where I'll stay.

Negativ:: The ONLY thing that can be improved is the coffee at breakfast. I know I'm being picky, but the coffee was distinctly awful. Other than that, all was amazing!

Positiv:: The location has to be one of the best of any hotel in the world. I could not believe as I tried to find the hotel in my rentla car that I had to drive behind and around the basilica to get to the hotel. The hotel is located literally a stone's throw from the basilica. Additionally the view from the pool area is also wonderful.

Negativ:: Maintenance could be a bit better; the hotel is obviously quite old and in need of some repairs. Reception called me one morning and asked if I was using the bathtub. I replied yes to which she commented and I quote "it is raining in reception". After the tub was filled, I drained some water to add more hot water and noticed water running on the floor near the drain next to the toilet. I stopped draining the tub. However, when I entered the tub it filled above the inside drain and water drained out but I did not notice any additional water on the floor so I assumed everything was ok. When I went down to reception it had more than just rained - there had been a torrential downpour. The staff was not upset and the maintenance guy knew immediately what the problem was. Once they work out these quirks the hotel will be superb yet I still highly recommend the hotel. When will you ever again stay that close to a UNESCO world heritage site?

Negativ:: Cleaning, cold, thin walls, no remote for tv, free parking that you had to pay when you get in, doors, no restaurant, etc

Negativ:: rooms without fridge, swimming pool with caps

Positiv:: It's an incredible place to stay, if you get a front balcony you'll be pretty satisfied. Also, you will enjoy the indoor swimming pool specially if the weather is really nice, the outside balcony by the pool is just great!

Negativ:: Though the staff was nice, it seemed to be a lack of people, on the swimming pool/spa area or the breakfast room.

Positiv:: Everything met our expectations we love it

Negativ:: Hotel is old and in need of a make over. My bathrooms were full of mildew, the carpeting was worn, the ceiling over the check in was leaking right onto the check in desk with a towel on it to collect the water and the breakfast was sub par.
