Positiv:: Amazing staff , super clean and modern hotel , great spa

Positiv:: A lot of small touches made the stay special, for example cava on arrival. Outstanding breakfast beautifully presented every day included local food and drinks. Worth going just for that! Swimming pool in hotel very relaxing and nearby olimpic swimming pool great to exercise.

Negativ:: The breakfast was pretty boring, every day the same thing.

Positiv:: It was our first visit to Calella (mid August) so we picked up that hotel based only on the location, reviews and overall high score – no regrets. Quiet and convenient location, 4 min walk to the endless beach (two sun lounges&umbrella – EUR15), lots of mini-markets nearby, a big dining area with plenty of various cafes and restaurants is within 5 min walk, no noise from the railroad running along the seashore or the main road on top of the hill (the only noisy disturbance was from a hotel’s pool next door, where families with kids seemed to spend all days long). Very helpful and unintrusive personnel, inviting atmosphere. Breakfast had a bit of everything with minor varieties every day. Iron and an ironing board are provided very quickly upon request. A couple of times coffee, tea and bath amenities were not replaced but that was promptly fixed after a call. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance/time to check their Silence Spa & Wellness Center next door but the huge swimming pool looks impressive. There is also a small outdoor pool at the hotel with umbrellas and sun loungers, pool/beach towels are provided. 10/10 would stay again!

Positiv:: Well, the hotel is quite high-tech - with all these fingerprint-activated locks and elevators.

Negativ:: 1. Funny thing occurred during the check-in when we’ve proceeded to the payment - somehow the sum charged in the bill was 400€ more, than it should be. When I’ve mentioned it to the administrators, they’ve discussed smth in Spanish and then the price was corrected, but I wonder, what could happen if I didn’t notice? And no one even apologize for the mistake. 2. They position themselves as 5* hotel, but when on the 3rd day I’ve asked - are they going to replace the bath amenities (gel/shampoo) with the full ones - they were surprised a lot and told, that that should be done only on request (I wonder, how could be 2 bottles of shampoo/gel enough for 2 ppl more than for one day?). Brought new ones only after i gave them a second call few hours later. 3. There are no bathrobes in rooms. 4. The parking is a lil bit scammy - it costs 12 € day in the building nearby, but the thing is that I’ve parked at 3 pm and took the car around 4 pm on next day, but they’ve charged it as for 2 days. 5. Cleaning service just simply ignores the DND led when it’s lit on a door of the room. 6. Conditioner spontaneously turned off but itself during the nightsleep - so you wake up around 2 am cause it’s freaking hot in a room and there’s not enough air.

Positiv:: Der Empfang war excellent, sofort Hilfe mit dem Gepäck, Zimmer alles bereits vorbereitet und wirklich eine sehr angenehme Betreuung. Nicht übertrieben aber perfekt. Genau richtig. Alles absolut angenehm und freundlich. Sehr gute Lage. Nicht zu laut am Abend, weil es eine Nebenstrasse ist. Garage !!!! Riesenvorteil. Vor allem der Spa Bereich und das Gym das den Namen auch so verdient sind ebenfalls sehr gut. Man kann richtig trainieren. Das Gym hier ist doppelt so gross wie im Hotel Park Hyatt Wien welches eines der besten Hotels Europas ist und auch dort Spa hier ist fast so schön wie im Park Hyatt Wien.

Negativ:: Ich bin sehr kritisch aber da kann ich keinen Punkt nennen.

Positiv:: We spent an amazing weekend in this beautiful hotel. Spa was exceptional!

Positiv:: Wonderful boutique hotel! Friendly staff, modern and clean rooms, excellent breakfast, and we made use of the terrific spa down the block. We really enjoyed our stay here in Calella.

Negativ:: Die automatischen Lichter auf der Toilette (Timer müsste um paar Minuten verlängert werden) NO-GO: keine Kloobürste

Positiv:: This is an absolutely beautiful hotel & the staff are fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us & made it a very special stay! The spa is amazing & the breakfast was fabulous. The rooms were immaculate & beautifully decorated. I can't reccommend this hotel enough! Thank you

Positiv:: Magnificent breakfast. Black out blinds. Modern decor. Fridge. Helpful staff. Good location.

Negativ:: Some of the communal areas were a bit dirty, the corridors and the jacuzzi area. The modern design of having the toilet in the middle of the room created some problems. The glass door and movement sensor light were incompatible. Pool area was small for a large hotel.

Positiv:: Perfekt wie immer. Bin zwar immer geschäftlich hier, aber es passt immer perfekt. Preis/Leistung , Personal , Essen, kaum zu topen.

Positiv:: Das Bett

Negativ:: Toilette und Waschbecken sehr ungeschickt im Zimmer angeordnet: WC hinter Glas mit automatischer Beleuchtung, Waschbecken mitten im Zimmer, Dusche direkt beim Balkon. Null Respekt der Intimsphäre. Furchtbar.

Positiv:: Wie immer perfekter Empfang. Zimmer sehr sauber. Frühstück optimal, 5* Qualität!!! Mittagessen ebenfalls hervorragend. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Zubereitungen in der offenen Küche am Buffet. Absolut das beste Frühstücksomelett das ich bisher weltweit bekommen habe ohne Übertreibung. Preis/Leistung nicht zu übertreffen.

Positiv:: War heuer 18 x zwischen 2-4 Tage jeweils im Hotel. Immer top . Es gibt nicht mehr zu sagen. Das beste Hotel in Calella und im weiten Umkreis. Preis / Leistung geht nicht besser

Positiv:: Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Hotel ist 200 m vom Strand entfernt.

Negativ:: Die Putzfrau hat in unserem Zimmer nur die Betten gemacht, das Klopapier und die Handtücher gewechselt. Der Rest wurde nicht gesäubert (Bad,Dusche ,Boden). Das Frühstück war leider fast immer das selbe, wir konnten es nach 3 Tagen schon nicht mehr sehen. Leider waren die Abendmusiker von 7 Tagen 5 Tage im Barbereich innen, am Pool wäre es viel schöner gewesen so wie die anderen zwei male da es angenehm warm war.

Positiv:: The friendliness of any member of your staff...nothing was too much trouble...fabulous. All the facilities in top condition, nobody could have cause for complaint, pool bar and area...fantastic.

Negativ:: The only thing that could have been better was more days for our stay.....thank you Kaktus.

Positiv:: The room itself and the decor and clean appearance of the hotel was good.

Negativ:: Myself & my partner unfortunately suffered food poisoning on the last night of our stay, the staff were not very helpful and said we would have to pay an extra 140 euros to stay on another night. When I enquired to see if we could move to a room with fewer facilities (as we were not in any state to be using the spa tub on the terrace) which was half the price, I was told that we would have to put our luggage in the hold and wait for 3 hours. We were already having to pay for an alternate flight because we were too ill to make the one we had booked so we wanted to minimise the extra unexpected expense, but a 3 hour wait sitting in the lobby or bar area whilst suffering severe food poisoning was not bearable (also not fair to subject other customers to being around us in this state). I asked if there was any way they could let us know as soon as the cheaper room was ready but the staff said this was not possible. I felt the staff could have been more understanding and helpful in the circumstances. Can’t be sure where we got the food poisoning from but we only ate at the restaurant in the hotel, apart from on one occasion where we had lunch at a pub nearby.

Positiv:: Modern room and facilities - we especially appreciated the black out blinds. Friendly staff. Pool and deckchairs were super relaxing. Close proximity to the beach and town.

Negativ:: Bed was uncomfy (thin mattress so we felt the springs). We also had issues with the design of the bathroom in that the light comes on automatically and the bathroom door is opaque, meaning it wakes everyone up if someone gets up to use the bathroom in the night. Also I wouldn’t recommend eating at the restaurant - the seafood didn’t taste fresh and everything was a bit beige.

Negativ:: What's strange is you don't have to pay for regular water during breakfast but you do during dinner. Very odd...

Positiv:: Ich war überrascht. Meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Ich habe an der Costa Brava schon mehrere 4 Sterne Hotels bewohnt. Keines der Hotels kann dem Hotel Bernat das Wasser reichen. Einfach nur Klasse

Positiv:: Ich fand das Frühstuck gut, sehr viel schöne auswal zum essen.

Negativ:: Party nicht nur für die kleinen Kinder sodern auch für Jugendliche.

Positiv:: The hotel was nice on the whole and quite well located.

Negativ:: My friend and I were not impressed with the breakfast, though the staff in the dining room were extremely friendly and helpful. We found the cleanliness of the rooms left a lot to be desired. After our first day the towels were not changed and the glasses left dirty.

Positiv:: Nice staff. Comfortable, clean rooms. Lot of varied of food in a restaurant. Many seafood. Closed to beach.

Positiv:: Staff were very very good. Children really enjoyed the kids club and the activities on offer. In particular speed boat and kite flying on the beach. Breakfast was good and lunch and dinner were great too.

Negativ:: Indoor pool is in the spa be warned this is an additional charge 9 euros for adults 5 euros for kids per session. Which we thought was costly for what was actually in the spa. Also please note some rooms have not be updated. The room we were allocated on arrival was was very disappointing for the price we paid not 4 star more like a grim motel. Almont ruined our holiday. Thankfully the staff are great and found us a room the following day that was amazing!

Positiv:: There was lots of choice of breakfast.

Negativ:: It would have been better if they could have opened the breakfast hall a little earlier for those people who were checking out early.

Positiv:: Good location, can get to the seaside in 5 minutes. Friendly and polite staff, who speaks English and Russian. Good hotel for families, not noisy, Delicious food in the restaurant.

Positiv:: Raumgrösse, Frühstücksraum grosszügig, Garageplätze in der Nähe.

Positiv:: The Staff was super friendly and very helpful. We like the facilities such as the spa, the restaurant and the pool & bar area. The pool tables etc was a hit.

Negativ:: The pool was way to small and the rooms were not spacious for a 10 day long stay (4 people in the same room).

Positiv:: Das Personal ist bis auf sehr wenige Ausnahmen TOP. Die Hilfe bei Fragen und/oder Umbuchungen großartig. Das Frühstück und das Mittag- und Abendbuffet sind hervorragend. Wir waren schon in einigen Hotels an der Costa Brava. Seit wir aber hier waren, sind wir immer in diesem Hotel, wenn wir an der Costa Brava Zwischenstation machen und eine Unterkunft brauchen :)

Negativ:: Keine Möglichkeit im Notfall in der Spa jemanden zu alarmieren! Es existiert kein Telefon oder eine Notfallklingel! Eine Angestellte sprach weder spanisch noch englisch. Dann ist die Verständigung äußerst schwierig, zum Glück sind aber normalerweise genug spanisch sprechende Mitarbeiter anwesend.

Positiv:: Hotel & staff were fine but we booked a sea view room & ended up with a room on the side with no view no sun on balcony. We will be taking issue up when back.

Negativ:: We had no view & were on side. Could have shook hands with people in hotel opposite. Not what we had paid for

Positiv:: Super Empfang an der Rezeption, Keine Sorge - man spricht deutsch. im ganzen Hotel sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen es war sehr lecker, abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig. Spanisches Buffet, tolle Dessertauswahl. Hotel liegt in erster Reihe am Strand. Strandpromenade sehr schön gestaltet. Feiner Sandstrand. Bahnlinie hat nicht gestört. Nahe Unterführung 80 m vom Hotel entfernt. Abends war es auf dem Balkon mit Meerblick gemütlich. Mindestens 15 deutsche Fernsehsender im TV. Das Auto stand sicher in der Tiefgarage. Insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Negativ:: Badezimmer sollten erneuert werden. Im Zimmer nur 1 Steckdose vorhanden. Betten waren leider nicht gut. Matratzen müssten erneuert werden.

Positiv:: Amazing location, close to beach, shops and centre. Execelent food. Nice and clean room, enought space in the room and also in balcony. Staff was very helpfull and always smilling and kind. Beautiful decorated hotel. That was really pleasure for us spend out holiday in hotel Internacional. Thank you.

Positiv:: Freundlichkeit, gutes morgenbuffet.sehr hervorragend zu haustieren(hunden).

Positiv:: Die Lage. Der Strand war mit 3 Minuten Fußweg zu erreichen. Das Essen war abwechslungsreich und völlig ok.

Negativ:: Das Bett war sehr hart. Das Personal an der Rezeption konnte mir keine richtige Auskunft geben, über den Shuttle Bus den ich gezahlt habe und habe daher den Bus zum Flughafen verpasst. Deshalb musste ich ein Taxi nehmen das 130 Euro kostete. Das Hotel hat mir keine gute Alternative anbieten können für Ihr verschulden.

Positiv:: Man ist in weniger als 5 Minuten zu Fuß am Strand, in die Ortsmitte sind es in die andere Richtung auch ca. 5 Minuten. Das ist für Wasserfans genial, Wassersport kann direkt am Strand gebucht werden. Der Blick von den Zimmern aufs Meer ist genial. Das Buffet ist zu allen Mahlzeiten reichlich und vielseitig, so dass jeder etwas leckeres finden kann. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, alles in Ordnung zu halten.

Negativ:: Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig, da es direkt an der Bahnlinie liegt und viele Hotelgäste erst spät heimkamen war Nachtruhe erst ab ein Uhr morgens, mit Kindern definitiv nicht optimal. Die auf dem Foto gezeigte Sonnenterrasse ist auf dem Dach im 7. Stock und der Pool unten. Dadurch ist ein Sonnenbad am Pool aufgrund der Begebenheiten nicht möglich. Der Speisesaal lädt leider nicht zum entspannten Essen ein, wie man es im Urlaub gerne machen würde.

Positiv:: Der Ausblick vom Balkon Richtung Meer und Leuchtturm. Die sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption. Die Getränke an der Bar. Das Zentrum von Calella ist in wenigen Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen.

Negativ:: Die Sauberkeit des Frühstückraums, hier besonders die Tische und Stühle lassen zu wünschen übrig.

Positiv:: The location was fenomenal and the beaches were really beautiful. The breakfast was decent, but the dinner definitely can improve.
