Positiv:: We enjoyed the ocean and Funchal view from our balcony. The bus station, the ocean, and the supermerkat was nearby. The hotel was about 30 minutes on foot from the center. It is a good level 3 starts hotel for good prize.

Positiv:: Die Zimmer mit Ihren offenen Fensterfronten sind sehr attraktiv. Sowohl Seeblick als auch Bergblick sind ansprechend, wobei der Seeblick das ganze noch mal toppt. Das Personal ist besonders zu loben: Sehr kompetent, freundlich und immer Lösungsfinder. Z.B. bei der abendlichen Anmeldung für Wanderungen am nächsten Tag. Hier wurden konsequent alle Kontakte abtelefoniert, um diese sehr spontane Idee möglich zu machen. Jederzeit wieder!

Positiv:: The hotel was very well situated (just 10 minute walk from the marina) and was excellent value for money. It was also very comfortable and clean.

Positiv:: Überrascht war ich über das Design - sehr modern und sehr ansprechend und sehr gemütlich! Speisesaal, Pool, Zimmer mit hervorragender Aussicht auf Funchal (vor allem abends!) und den Hafen. Das Hotel lag zentrumsnah und man war zufuß schnell an allen Zielen (Altstadt, Hafen, Bergbahn, Bus). Gut für Start diverser Wanderungen.

Positiv:: Der Ausblick von den zum Meer gelegenen Zimmern ist einfach phänomenal. Auch die Lage gleich beim Stadtzentrum ist für Liebhaber von urbanem Flair ideal. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr schön und modern ausgestattet, man fühlt sich wirklich wohl. Die Mitarbeiter sind durchwegs sehr bemüht.

Positiv:: Tolles Hotel. Liegt ein wenig im Berg, wie so alles auf Madeira. Tipp: Fußweg in die Stadt ist über den Aufzug (Ebene 0) und den Hotelparkplatz einfacher als vorne über den Haupteingang. Weg zur Fähre nach Porto Santo ca. 15 min zu Fuß, kein Transport notwendig.

Positiv:: Free breakfast was good with lots of variety. The room was clean. The decor was really good. Also, it was easy to spot the hotel driving because the design was different from the rest of the buildings in Funchal. Overall a great hotel.

Positiv:: Das Hotel erfüllte voll unsere Erwartungen. Für "südländische Verhältnisse" ist das Hotel weit besser als der Durchschnitt, es gab nichts gravierendes auszusetzen. Ziemlich neue Anlage, alles schön hell gehalten. Schöne Poolanlage mit direktem Zugang zum Atlantik. U.a. gibt`s auch eine Bar mit annehmbaren Preisen, unweit ein Irish-Pub.... bis zum Stadtkern sind es 20 Minuten zu Fuß. Restaurants sind jede Menge in der Umgebung vorhanden. Der Service stimmt. Für den Preis bekommt man in Deutschland weniger geboten!

Positiv:: Great location, very efficient and professional reception and restaurant staff - our room was huge and had a sea view which we were not expecting! The hotel, room and pool areas were spotlessly clean and the evening buffets were good value. The pool area in particular was lovely - there were always sunloungers available and the view was great.

Positiv:: A beautiful site with garden and pool areas, quiet and comfortable, nice views to Funchal hills. Very friendly staff, nice pool and snack bars, tasty and big breakfast buffet. Clean, cosy rooms with large bed, nice balkony. I liked the location very much, not in the crowded city center, but close enough to walk or take a bus. Taxis are also really cheap!

Positiv:: When we arrived we were taken into the sister hotel Miramar as the Village was undergoing eco friendly alterations. These two hotels were situated on the same site but with separate entrances. We found the Miramar slightly old worldie with antiques scattered over the building and the decore was also of times gone by. The atmosphere was serene and peaceful. The food was good with extensive selection self-service breakfast with a delightful arrangement of small rooms, nooks and cranies within a larger room. This became an intimate candlelit dining area with waiter service in the evening. It had a staircase leading to a bar serving an interesting selection of cocktails. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive.

Positiv:: Overall a very good experience. Hotel won several prizes with the garden which is truly amazing - nice pool and facilities. Bus stop right outside. Not too far from city centre in walking distance. Shops nearby for basic purchases. Rooms equipped with small kitchen. Pleasant view.

Positiv:: Baulich eine der angenehmen Hotelanlagen, kein "Bettenbunker". Liegt direkt gegenüber vom Reid's Hotel, ins Zentrum kann man mit dem Bus fahren oder in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß gehen. Bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt auf Madeira würde ich gerne wieder hier wohnen.
