Positiv:: Sehr freundliches Personal, hatten Probleme mit unserer Dusche und haben uns sofort 2 Zimmer zur Auswahl gegeben zum wechseln. Frühstück hat eine riesige Auswahl, muss unbedingt ausgewählt werden beim Aufenthalt. Essen im Restaurant war auch sehr lecker. Strand mit einer Strassenüberquerung sofort erreichbar. Zu Fuss in ca. 15 Minuten in der Altstadt. Aufenthalt war perfekt.

Positiv:: Hotel is superbly located in Malaga within walking distance to all the local hot spots. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room with a view was fabulous and the room itself was impeccably clean and the bed was super comfy. The shower was also great. The rooftop pool and bar area was a selling point!! Such a cool spot to just laze for a few hours and enjoy the view. Would highly recommend.

Molina Lario gehört zur Gruppe Gallery Hoteles und ist ein 4*-Boutiquehotel, das 2018 komplett renoviert wurde. Es hat 103 Zimmer und liegt vor der Kathedrale, nur wenige Meter vom Hafen und von den wichtigsten Museen der Stadt entfernt. Das Hotel zeichnet sich besonders durch seine Gastfreundlichkeit und hervorragende Gästebetreuung aus und verfügt über zwei emblematische Räume, die der Gastronomie gewidmet sind. Das Restaurant MATIZ ist den ganzen Tag über geöffnet und bietet mediterrane Küche, die auf traditionellen andalusischen Rezepten mit einer modernen Note basiert. Sein Innenhof ist der ideale Ort, um den Trubel der Stadt hinter sich zu lassen. Positiv:: Mir hat es gefallen, nur zwei der Mitarbeiter. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Duschen waren schön. Das Essen war ziemlich gut, da waren die Preise für das Frühstück. Die Zimmermädchen und das Personal und Wäschedienst waren perfekt.
Negativ:: Zu viel Geld für das, was wir bekommen haben. Die Hotelleitung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Der Pool ist etwas zu klein. ignoriert wurde im Essbereich. Wirklich laut Bauarbeiten direkt neben uns auf der Straße von uns.

Positiv:: Malaga old town is beautiful and very clean, if you like historic old towns, good restaurants and a lively atmosphere, you'll love it here. The Molina Lario is perfectly positioned to enjoy the sights, the staff are warm and welcoming and the facilities are excellent. Everything s an easy walk from the hotel.
Negativ:: I would avid the cafe's near the cathedral, they seemed to be understaffed, poor value for money and not great quality.

Positiv:: Das Hotel war sehr schön eingerichtet und hielt mehr bereit als wir erwarteten, z.b Die Rituals Toilettenartikel, eine Nespressomaschine und ein modern ausgestattetes Bad. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Preis-Leistung Top. Schräg gegenüber wartete dazu noch die leckerste Eisdiele Malaga’s auf uns.
Negativ:: Es gab leider nur ein großes Fenster hin zum Treppenhaus, somit kam leider kein natürliches Tageslicht herein und wenn man die Vorhänge offen lies konnten die anderen Gäste in unser Zimmer schauen.

Positiv:: Die Anfahrt vom Flughafen ist dank Google-Maps Smartphone-Navi weitgehend problemlos, ALLERDINGS mit einer WICHTIGEN Ausnahme: Vom Flughafen kommend ca. 1 km vor dem Hotel bitte beim notwendigen U-Turn an der Kreuzung der großen und relativ schnellen Zufahrts-Straße sehr aufpassen: dort gibt es eine sehr verwirrende und dadurch m. E. höchst gefährliche Doppel-Ampelregelung: Man sieht das Grün der ersten Ampel, fährt los und übersieht dabei leicht die nur ca. 5 Meter dahinter aufgestellte zweite Ampel vor der Wieder-Einfahrt in die o. g. Schnellstraße nach dem U-Turn: diese zweite Ampel war bei uns aber leider rot !!! Wir haben das im allerletzten Moment gesehen, und das auch nur, weil wir sehr langsam fuhren. Wie oft es da wohl bei eiligeren Ortsfremden "kracht"? Dann noch kurz steil nach oben an den Fuß der Sierras und dort erholsame Ankuft mit Bad im Pool, fantastischem Blick auf das nächtliche Malaga und großartigen Abendessen mit sehr freundlichem und persönlichem Service. Ein toller Start für den Malaga-Besuch und die anschließende Andalusien-Reise am nächsten Morgen.
Negativ:: Die Gefahrenstelle der Zufahrt, s. o., kam uns zu "spanisch" vor: Das ist aber im öffentlichen Straßen-Bereich. Vielleicht wird diese Gefahr ja bald (oder doch nur "manjana"?) durch die Stadt entschärft?!

Negativ:: At the pool there where many people leaving their towels at the beds/ chairs, so you did not have place to sit. The people didn't come back so it was occupied for no reason. There could be staff who picked up the unused towels ( you can see if they did not leave anything else there), so new people could have a place to sit. There was only one of staff I the bar and he was very bysy serving all people so he did not have time to check the beds/ chairs.

Negativ:: The room (609) looked onto internal windows. Only one pillow for each bed. Bed lights weren’t independent so have one on and one off. No kettle for tea. Just coffee machine and very small coffee cups Went up to the roof and had to make a fuss to find a table for lunch. It was packed out with parties of people. Noisy. No papers on Saturday morning.

Negativ:: "The Fitness Center". Yeah, I think it's enough for anyone who's only looking to do running, cycling and workouts without equipment. I'm sure a lot of people are McGiver's and can work with that, but equipment enthusiasts will be better off going to an actual gym nearby.

Positiv:: Edles Hotel mit sehr guter Ausstattung (TV mit WLAN, Netflix- Amazon Prime-Zugang). Das Frühstück war sehr schön präsentiert und reichhaltig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zentrale Lage im Zentrum mit Vorteilen (Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten vor der Tür) und Nachteilen (Anreise relativ stressig im Straßenverkehr und sehr kleines Parkhaus).
Negativ:: Minuspunkt war eindeutig die Parksituation - zwar ist ein Parkhaus vorhanden, es ist aber sehr eng und hat nur eine Zufahrt, die gleichzeitig die Ausfahrt ist. Trotz Hinweis des Personals, sie würden das im Auge haben und kein Auto reinlassen, wenn man rausfährt, kamen uns bei der ohnehin hakeligen Ausfahrt 2 Autos entgegen - Stress pur! Dafür leider etwas Punktabzug.

Als Studioappartement war ein großer Kühlschrank mit allem notwendigen Geschirr, Herd und Spülmaschine vorhanden. Nur fehlte es an Sitzgelegenheiten zum Essen. Wir haben den Kofferhocker mit einem Kissen ausgestattet und so den für uns einzigen Mangel gelöst. Das Frühstück war nicht schlecht mit großer Auswahl, aber dennoch würden wir nächstes Mal eher in einem der schönen Cafés frühstücken.

Positiv:: Tucked away behind Calle Larios it was in an excellent position. Reception was very welcoming, and we were warned that our room was small and had no view. Bed was comfy and good bed linen. Big bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was included and was a healthy buffet with lots of fruit and good coffee (Nespresso), there were scrambled eggs and bacon but we didn't try them. Beautiful breakfast room, with carved marble pillars. This is one of the many magnificent houses that Malaga have restored.
Negativ:: The room we had (201) was not suitable for older people. We are not infirm exactly but are getting on, The worst thing was that when the lights went out it was completely dark, only a glimmer of light under front door. There was a pillar and other objects you could walk into if you got up in the night. We tried all the lights and settled on one reading light but it was still as bright as day. I have told the hotel they need to look at this, a light in the air shaft outside the window would help. Also the bath was too high and with no hand rails I failed to get into it!

Und das Personal ist so etwas von freundlich und hilfsbereit, dass man das extra erwähnen muss. Und falls wirklich einmal der Schuh drückt, kann man jederzeit zu Jorge den Gästemanager gehen und es wird behoben Ein Traum waren auch die Betten und Polster. Das Frühstück war genial, alles was man möchte - frisch und in ausreichenden Mengen. Wenn man möchte kann man sogar auf der Terrasse sitzen - mit Meeresblick und dem Rauschen des Meeres. Das nenne ich Urlaubsgefühl :-)

Negativ:: The decor is ghastly - carpet and wicker stuff on the corridor walls. Doesn’t look updated since the 1970s. The restaurant staff seemed lazy (one couldn’t apparently get me anything other than hot soya milk or cows milk for my cup of tea - another found it perfectly easy to get me some cold soya milk - at breakfast the waitress told me there were no free tables on the verandah, though there were two just needed clearing which she did when I pointed this out). They seem to be relying on their great views too much. The bathroom door didn’t close properly and there was no lock on the bathroom doors. The food was ok but not great. The mango and avocado salad had a vile sweet biscuity thing with it and a mountain of green leaves and insufficient avocado. Membrillo in such a salad is unnecessary. I received no automatic assistance with my suitcase despite being older, tiny and slightly disabled (not visibly). This hotel just about suffices but it is far too expensive for its standards. Needs an overhaul.

Positiv:: We spent 7 days at this idyllic hotel on the wall of the historic castle. The location was amazing to retreat away from the very busy city centre after a day of drinking, eating and shopping. The rooms were well equipped with all the essentials you require. Thank you to Maria and Victoria who serviced our room each day. The pool offered a quiet setting to relax in the Spanish sunshine on our afternoons. Positiv:: The location was second to none with great views over Malaga harbour. The staff were delightful and helpful. The pool was clean with lots of sun beds. Breakfast was a feast with a wide range of hot and cold food, cafeteria served delicious food and restaurant was first class.
Negativ:: The hotel is looking a little aged and need or a refurbishment in places particularly within our bathroom.

Negativ:: This hostel is not a place to meet fellow travellers. The beds are comfortable and you will be provided with two lockers which is great, however the power sockets are very poorly placed. There are no night lamps and no way to make your bed a bit more private. The cleanliness is good. Breakfast is ok, the view from the restaurant is amazing! Overall I would not stay here again.

Positiv:: Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Der Ausblick von der Dachterrasse ist top.
Negativ:: Das Zimmer ist recht klein und es wird schnell heiß im Zimmer trotz Belüftung. Es gibt im Zimmer keine separate Klimaanlage, mit offenem Fenster schlafen ist leider zu laut aufgrund der bis spät in die Nacht gut besuchten Fußgängerzone. Das Haus selbst ist sehr hellhörig. Die Bar auf der Dachterrasse sehr gut besucht und eigentlich die ganze Nacht über kehren Gäste lautstark zurück ins Hostel. Leider haben wir daher nicht besonders gut geschlafen, obwohl wir eigentlich nicht sehr geräuschempfindlich sind.

Negativ:: - I couldn't check in 20 minutes before the check-in time and when it was time they told me I can check in but my bed is not done yet - so what I was waiting for?? - lack of bedside lamps - it would be so easy to do it - then comfort would turn up to 10/10!! otherwise there is a problem when somebody want to do anything at night - lockers that are useless - at first I thought mine was broken but it was just the lock slightly unscrewed and I screwed it on but I am sure that if only anybody would want to open it, it would be like child's play....; there was another, better locker under the bed but you have to have your own padlock - very noisy area (the street) but when you close windows and shutters it's better, and when you are super-tired you just fall asleep :)

Positiv:: Staff were very helpful when I arrived, they do offer activities and help to organise it, the location is great! Right by the alcazaba, and has an amazing rooftop bar with a view of it. Bed had two power outlets as well. Shower has bodysoap and great pressure.
Negativ:: Not a huge social vibe, no sink in kitchen area. Only one common bathroom, otherwise the 10 bed dorm has only one bathroom in it - admittedly wasn't a huge issue. Street can be noisy at night and rooms can get quite hot, but wasn't sweating too much.

Positiv:: The food is fantastic (maybe limited though if you are veggie or vegan!). We really enjoyed the local mountain meats (goat, ox tail, steak, lamb chops, rabbit, chicken) and the prices are extremely reasonable. Breakfast was basic but good and was on from 9am to 12. We had a Junior Suite. The first night the jacuzzi did not work so we were moved to the other suite for the rest of the stay. Beds were comfortable and heating was good, as it can get cold at night in the mountains. There is very little in Colmenar, but it is a great location for exploring, if you have a car. We went to Nerja, Frigiliana, Velez-Málaga and Málaga. The staff were very friendly and helpful although limited English was spoken. Luckily my school Spanish kicked in and we all got by.

Positiv:: Wir haben ein sehr schönes Zimmer bekommen ( Upgrade) mit tollem Service. Das Frühstück war sehr gut , auch hier toller Service. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle super fleißig und sehr freundlich. Die Lage am Rande der Fußgängerzone ist ideal.
Negativ:: Das 5 Sterne - Hotel ist sicherlich sehr schön , aber einiges ist doch schon sehr abgenutzt. Bei unseren Betten war z. B. die Rückwand total zerschlissen. Bei voller Belegung ist der Frühstücksraum viel zu klein. Insgesamt ist das Hotel m. E viel zu teuer.

Negativ:: It’s not a 5* hotel. The room we paid for an upgrade at €355 was not worth it although nice . There was only 1 small bottle of water between my wife and I and everything else was charged. No dressing table with mirror. My wife could only use hair dryer in bathroom (which always steamed up) as nowhere to sit in the suite to do make up etc. Breakfast not included??? Surely not at €355. Come midnight it became a little noisy outside on the streets but to be expected from staying in the city. Don’t get too excited about the roof top pool and bar.....no bar and its a little shabby, perhaps convert to a sky bar with something more becoming to an expensive hotel
