Positiv:: Personal war extrem freundlich. Preis-Leistung sensationell. Beim Frühstücksbüffet bleibt kein Wunsch offen

Negativ:: Waren nur für eine Nacht im Hotel, da Medan ein Zwischenstopp war. Medan ist keine schöne Stadt.

Positiv:: Wir buchten das Frühstück noch dazu. Welches zwar 10€ p.P und Tag kostet aber jeden Cent wert ist. Eine tolle Auswahl, sehr authentisches Essen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Der Pool ist toll! Die Temperatur überraschend kühl. Ebenso genoss ich die Sauna eines Abends. Wenn wir unsere Reise durch Sumatra beendet haben werden wir vor unserem Rückflug nach Deutschland eine weitere Nacht in diesem Hotel verbringen.

Negativ:: Nur einen Bademantel auf dem Zimmer. Die Karten für den Fahrstuhl funktionieren manchmal nicht.

Positiv:: Perfect hospitality and ambience. Walking proximity to downtown.

Positiv:: Der Checkin war problemlos. Die Mitarbeiterinnen dort, Febi und Kharen, waren hilfsbereit, gaben uns alle wichtigen Informationen. Auserdem bekamen wir, da in der gebuchten Kategorie keine Nichtraucher-Zimmer mehr zur Verfügung standen, ein upgrade. Die Mitarbeiter in den anderen Bereichen waren extrem aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sauer, die Betten bequem, der Pool bot eine gute Entspannungsmöglichkeit nach einem Tag in der etwas hektischen Stadt. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und gut.

Negativ:: Bei einem unserer Zimmer handelte es sich um ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür, die Schallisolierung war nicht gut.

Positiv:: International standard in most every way. Their Premier Rooms include access to a Business Club on the 10th Floor - a quiet retreat for breakfast and afternoon teas. This is in direct contrast to the 3rd Floor Restaurant which at breakfast time is just a free-for-all jumble of upwards of 300 people. It is most unpleasant.

Positiv:: Great hospitality, everyone is so friendly & helpful. Handy to shopping at Sun Plaza Fabulous smorgasbord meals for dinner & breakfast plus a great afternoon tea ‘ happy hour’ on the 10th floor.

Positiv:: Santika Hotel serves a variety of scrumptious local and international cuisines for daily breakfast which is extremely appetizing. The serene surroundings make it a perfect place to unwind.

Negativ:: One thing that make us sad for one week stay there is oneday we want swim with family and that we have one person more, they wanna charged for 250.000 rupiah. That was 5pm and they gonna closed the pool at 6pm because they had wedding party there.

Positiv:: We loved our stay at Adimulia Hotel. We wanted to enjoy some relaxed days in a nice hotel before travelling through Sumatra - and this is exactly what we got. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and most of them could speak English. If not, there was always someone around to help out. The rooms have been cleaned everyday and this was probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was a huge buffet with numerous delicious choices. It was impossible to try everything. The gym was nice with a lot of different training machines which were all in a good condition. The pool was big and nice for swimming or just cooling down a bit.The spa area has a sauna, a steam sauna and a jacuzzi. Also I probably had the best massage ever in this hotel (Royal Massage). We definetly would stay there again.

Negativ:: Just a minor point but it might be useful information for some people: there is no relaxing area in the spa where you could cool down in between sauna sessions. But the spa was really nicely made and had a nice and comfortable atmosphere.

Negativ:: Grandious Sumatra Hotel used a lot by local high class. Perhaps some reflection of Sumatrian tradition would make this place more touchy.

Negativ:: Hotel was infested with kids, kids friendly hotel and no space for breakfast. Had to wait for server to clear before there is a free table for breakfast. No place to have a proper swim as the pool was full of kids, not a lap pool but for those playing with water.

Positiv:: The number of hanging crystal chandeliers exceeded DOZENS-----all sparkling clean like diamonds.

Negativ:: I RESENT Booking.com systems which have sent me several of these questionnaires for the same stay in this same hotel !!!

Positiv:: Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Betten sind sehr komfortabel und das Zimmer war immer sehr sauber. Das Frühstück bot viel Variation sowie Auswahl. Das WLAN im Zimmer war immer tadellos (eine LAN Dose ist ebenfalls vorhanden).

Negativ:: Der Pool ist leider nicht besonders groß und häufig voll, da auch Personen welche kein Gast sind dort gegen eine kleine Gebühr schwimmen dürfen. Dieses Mal hatten wir leider ein Zimmer in Richtung eines Nebengebäudes. Somit gab es keinen schönen Stadtblick und tagsüber kam auch nur wenig Licht ins Zimmer.

Negativ:: As a family of 2 adults and a child (11)we only got 2 towels at the pool, so we asked for another one which they refused to give us because we stayed in a double room (booked for the 3 of us..). Only after lots of arguing we got a 3rd. Very weird that they expect people to share a towel?! Very bad smell of the airconditioning in the room. You can't open a window so can't get fresh air in and the smell out. People rang our doorbell in the middle of the night several times. Don't know what the hotel can do about it, but it was annoying

Positiv:: Great spread and a good number of varieties. Very tasty. Ambience was good. Arrangements of chairs and tables were not too close and hence privacy could be maintained. Good for quick business meetings.

Positiv:: Nice Hotel, The room was large with a very comfortable bed. The centre of town was near and the railway station is in walking distance.

Negativ:: My room had no Refrigerator this was very disappointing since the Aryaduta was listed as a 4.5 Star Hotel. Sadly I was not able to put something I bought and needed refrigeration in to a Refrigerator.

Negativ:: Check-in and Check-Out takes a long time and is not very professional.

Please understand that people put their mobile phones for charge overnight, create alarms to wake up in the morning... But to my surprise there was no power sockets near bed or bed table... And the intercom was miles away form bed... Finding light switch was an adventure...

Positiv:: Wir haben zwei Nächte im Hotel Deli River verbracht: Nach der Ankunft in Medan und vor der Abreise. Dafür ist das Hotel nahezu perfekt. Es liegt schön im Grünen, das Hotel hat den Transport vom/zum Flughafen und zum Lake Toba organisert. Sehr gutes Essen, saubere Zimmer und ein Pool an dem man schön ein paar Stunden entspannen kann

Negativ:: Die Fahrt vom/zum Flughafen dauert ein gute Stunde.

Positiv:: Staff so friendly and welcoming, food catering for Vegans and staff making dietary arrangements for us without us asking was amazing. Sitting in the pool overlooking the river was fantastic, photos do not do this place justice, it’s amazing! Would 100% stay here again if ever in Medan!

Positiv:: Tolles Preis-/Leitungsverhältnis. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet lässt kaum Wünsche offen.

Negativ:: Das 24h-Stundentestaurant bietet sehr gute Speisen. Die Rechnung stimmte allerdings erst beim dritten Anlauf. Auch die Zimmerkarte war falsch programmiert was 10 Minuten Verzögerung zur Folge hatte.

Positiv:: Very comfortable place. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I needed a doctor later in the evening and the receptionist did everything she could to help us. A doctor came and later when we needed a car to go to the hospital it was arranged really smoothly. The breakfast is really good.

Negativ:: Sehr veraltete Zimmer, aus jedem Hahn im Badezimmer & Spülung hat es getropft, Safe ging auch nicht und Personal konnte sehr, sehr wenig Englisch (was man bei einem Hotel dieser Grösse und Sternebewertung besser zu erwarten dürfte).

Negativ:: The hotel AC was not cold even in the common area like lobby was stuffy and the AC in the room 0827 was not cold and sweating all night. The bed was broken I have to inform the house keeping to sort it out for me which they did but never expect this from a 5 star property. The room bathroom was dirty it need a good scrub and polish, over all the room sucks. Not recommended

Positiv:: The rooms were clean and spacious. This hotel was a comfortable stay following a gruelling trek in Aech.

Negativ:: The food at the restaurant wasn't the best. I ordered a pasta hoping it would bring some comforts of home. It didn't. The chocolate cake was dry. But also I shouldn't have expected them to do western food.

Negativ:: We received a complimentary drink on arrival, but one glass had a lipstick stain on... Room was dated with stains on carpet, hair everywhere and a bathroom not up to standard. Completely unacceptable for the Mercure name. When we ordered their cocktail of the month, it took over 20 minutes to arrive despite us being the only people in the lounge. It was not worth the wait. Fitness suite was ill kept and outdated.

Negativ:: The extra bed was sent to my room very late at night after calling and asking for it to be sent to the room so may times.

Positiv:: The breakfast was superb and the location. The hotel is a landmark in the city and the rate is value for money. the only thing they should consider to start the service of money changer or there should be an one within walking distance.

Negativ:: I was allowed a room in 5th floor while my other team members were allowed in 7th floor. The lift operated by room key did not permit boarder to get to a floor other than one he has allotted except 2nd floor and the lobby. This was a teal problem for us as i could not go to my friends room and vice versa to pass time.

Negativ:: Höllenlärm mit Bässen, die den Zimmerboden buchstäblich zum Erzittern brachten ab 22 h im Zimmer (2. Stock). Nach Beschwerde bei der Rezeption erst geheuchelte Ahnungslosigkeit, bis ihnen dann doch ihr eigener Nachtclub als Lärmquelle eingefallen ist, haha! Umquartierung in anderen Flügel in schlechteres (und auch noch Raucher-)Zimmer (Superior statt gebuchtem Deluxe). Die wissen schon, warum der Kunde (unüblicherweise) den Zimmerpreis schon beim Einchecken bezahlen muss :(

Negativ:: the checking in process resulted in an argument. we have booked for 7 rooms and almost each of us were assigned to different floors. we were not happy being apart like this. one of the lady staff was quite rude in telling us only these rooms are available. the manager then helped to put us all in the same floor.

Negativ:: I am very disappointed with the room aircond, I was not able to sleep because it was so hot. Temp 17 degree and highest fan set does not make the room cooler. I told the house keeping but not sure what did they do.

Negativ:: I was trying to reach the property through email / booking.com to check & ask for a Airport pick-up but, there was no response after sending many communications. Reached the hotel at 1 pm but, the front office staff asked me to wait until 2 pm to check-in :(

Negativ:: The bedsheets were not clean, there were blood stains! The room door wasn’t able to lock and we requested them to fix for at least 4 times since day 1. Their resolution is only sending engineers trying to close and open the door for a few times, they even took out the whole thing to fix. Could have change us to another room earlier (they said they didn’t have extra rooms...). The housekeeping is slow and they took forever to pick up our call, we requested for extra towels but it never came.

Positiv:: Exactly what would be expected. We ate in the restaurant, the food was great and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Positiv:: Good location. Nice floor-to-ceiling windows (if you ask for an executive room). Rooftop restaurant. Breakfast - good range of Indonesian food, but limited selection for non-locals.

Negativ:: Air con worked, but not powerful enough so the room never really got cold. Standard rooms are tired and have tiny windows - make sure you get an executive room.

Positiv:: Good value hotel. Room was cool and clean. Restaurant on the top floor had an impressive view and a really wide assortment for breakfast. Location is close to the touristy things. Just a proper formal hotel for a really good price.

Negativ:: The top floor restaurant was really hot already early in the morning. We had to move 3 times to find a spot that was do-able.

Positiv:: Amazing pillows! We were there after a long travel from Parapat/Lake Toba just for the night before our flight early next morning. It's location just above the train station to the airport is a great plus. Very close to Centre point Mall which is great for food options. Breakfast option of Starbucks coffee/tea with croissant was a nice touch as well.

Negativ:: Some traffic noise due to it's location but that was still bearable.

Positiv:: Hotel ist genial gelegen. Bahn von Medan airport Kualanamu bis zur Endstation ( z.Z. 80 k IDR) und 5 Gehminuten zum Hotel. 10 min zu Fuss zu Merdeka Walk. Zimmer sauber, wie in allen Grossstädten etwas zu klein, Bad geräumig, Wir wollten zum Toba-See ( Danau Toba), Hotel organisierte Fahrt für 120 k IDR pro Person.

Negativ:: Frühstück war ein Gutschein für Starbucks im gleichen Gebäude. Ein Tee/ Kaffee und ein Croissant.

Positiv:: Rooms are ok but need to clean toilets bowls. Maybe the toilet is old n have brown stains in the toilet bowl.other than that I'm happy with the reception.

Negativ:: Improve in cleanliness of the toilets.

Positiv:: Well, not really liked but I didn't mind the croissant & coffee 'breakfast' at Starbucks. Once you know this is what's coming... The bed was very comfortable.

Negativ:: The check-in procedure was very formal and had to be done immediately, whereas once it was all paid and done it turned out I had to wait until 1pm (the official check-in time). The thing is, it was already after midday and I do think the staff could have shown a little flexibility as I cannot possibly believe there wasn't a room ready at this time. In the room itself, the toilet was far too close to the shower cabin so anyone taller than 1.80 m will have a problem there. And the bedside table light switch and the socket were hidden so absurdly, there was no way to deal with it comfortably.

Positiv:: The hotel staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was good as it was within walking distance to a market place and taking the train to the airport was really convenient.

Negativ:: Breakfast provided was at a Starbucks at the location but the coffee was really watered down. I guess the saving grace was the butter croissant which at least tasted like what a croissant should.

Positiv:: The location is great, across from Lapangan Merdeka and right above the train station. The staff really stand out for their friendly and warm professionalism and efficiency. The bed is uber comfortable with generous pillows.

Negativ:: The bathroom is so poorly designed you have to sit sideways on the toilet, the little package of toiletries is wasteful and unnecessary and could be given on request only. I'm not sure what is in the dispensers on the wall in the shower, labelled shampoo and soap. They're both the same and leave skin dry. One sachet of 3 in 1 coffee is poor in an international hotel. The power points and sockets are hidden under bedside units and you have to get down on your knees to access them. The included breakfast gets you the bare minimum, watery coffee and a croissant at Starbucks in the station precinct. It's starting to feel shabby, the kettle is broken and bodged back together, cigarette burns on furniture and the smell of stale smoke, scuff marks, cracks in the wall etc. Security is poor, with easy access from the street or station to any floor via lift.

Negativ:: Breakfast did not meet our expectations. There were meals in our opinion for lunch/dinner and not for beakfast. We prefer eggs, fruit, vegetable. (But it’s just our opinion)

Negativ:: i booked 2 room, but when we arrive only one room can check in already, another one room need to wait for cleaning process, and the staff promise will send the key room, but unfortunately, we have to call after 4 hours ask for the key. in the morning, at 6am ask for iron, but the staff said the iron not available, will send it once available, after 2 hours still not available, call the staff again ask for iron, and the answer still same, iron not available. 200k rupiah deposit not returned during check out.

Positiv:: A neat hotel, located on a very convenient main road in Medan within walking distance of places to visit such as Tjong A Fie's Mansion and Maimun Palace in one direction and a good selection of places to eat in the other. Prompt laundry facility came in handy after visiting the rainforest in Northern Sumatra.

Negativ:: The view of downtown Medan was not exactly scenic, but nonetheless a good perspective of the busy crowded city.

Positiv:: Wir haben das Hotel aus der Not heraus am gleichen Tag gebucht. Für 20€ die Nacht kann man in Sumatra schon ein bisschen Komfort erwarten. Die Gemeinschaftsbereiche sind schön.

Negativ:: Das Zimmer vollkommen heruntergekommen - Löcher in den Wänden. Verwahrlostes Viertel, in dem würde ich als Frau nachts nicht lang laufen. Sehr laut nachts, da an der Straße gelegen und der Fahrstuhl läutet alle 2 Minuten. Ich habe auf meine Spagetti mit Öl und Knoblauch 50 Minuten gewatet, viel zu viel Knoblauch und Pfeffer- kaum essbar. Die größte Dreistigkeit war jedoch der Wäscheservice - 700.000 Rupiah knapp 44€ für 2 Mittelgroße Säcke Wäsche. Im Verhältnis zum Durchschnittsverdienst ist das meiner Meinung nach die größte Abzocke Nie wieder - absolut nicht zu empfehlen

Negativ:: Instabiles Internet, Die Ausstattung ist "etwas in die Jahre" gekommen, aber ok.

Positiv:: Location is useful. Room on 7th floor was neat.

Negativ:: Feels very run down and is quite noisy. When you book make sure you request a non smoking room, my sisters room was not pleasant. It would have been nice to have an information folder to tell you about check out, room service, wifi, etc. We ordered room service and had no idea it was cash only. The food was very average. Also you will get a knock on the door 7-7.30 asking for laundry every morning, make sure you put up the “do not disturb sign” if you want to sleep in.

Negativ:: wifi so bad. so calculative on breakfast as I saw it says rm27 per room but its per person. 4 star but no facilities of 4 star.
