Worst hotel ever.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Very old, no maintenance, dirty, just overal horrible. Moldy and musty smell in the room. I heard of people seeing rates in there rooms. One of our guests got a rash of ticks or something we are still trying to determine what it is.
It took us over an hour and a half to check in. The staff could care less. Only two people at the front desk. Don’t even think about staying here. This hotel shouldn’t even be given one star. It should be not rated, it is so bad. I had to pay extra for a facility fee that was never mentioned. If I didn’t pay, they would not give me my room.
Needs major improvements. Facilities fee scam.
The humbling kindness of overworked, understaffed folks behind the desk who had to deal with countless angry customers who were unhappy with the extreme wait time in line or had come down to complain about the condition of their room.
70 minute wait in line to check in, did not arrive to room until 1:00am after a very long day of travel. Room smelled moldy and musty, air quality was a major concern and window could not be opened. Aesthetics looked run down and degraded in a way that regardless of how well it may have been cleaned it looked dirty and questionable. Upon checkout the next morning, after only having spent 5.5 hours sleeping in the hotel the front desk tried to charge us an additional $34 "facilities" fee that had not been mentioned anywhere to the best of our recollection. We pushed back and said that we had not had time to use any "facilities" because of the extremely long wait in line the night before and the person at the front desk kindly dropped it.
I was the worst experience ever.
The rooms were dirty, the service was terrible. I booked 3 days but it was so bad that I just stay one night, even though I lost my money I could not stay another night. Never stay there
Rude staffs , dirt room , broken bathroom top
Stayed in line more than 2 hrs for checking in & on a top bossy styled rude staffs, so much tired to deal with them , manager wasn’t on her/ his desk to talk , dirty room , broken bathroom , why do we pay for what ???

Great location, very poor service and overall condition
The location is awesome, obviously. Right across Penn Station and in the heart of Manhattan.
The service was extremely poor. I waited for over an hour in line with about 50 other people just to check in. there was only one person working at the reception. The hotel is in poor condition, the rooms are sub-standard, and the hallways are in some cases littered with trash. It is not unsafe, but clearly not worth the price.
charged us $70 to store 5 pieces of luggage since we could not do early check in. long wait to check in
Horrible Experience ....
I arrived at the hotel to spend a few days with my family and I found that the hotel did not have air conditioning. I speak with Manager Maycol and he tells me that it is true "Hotel DOES NOT have Air Conditioning" that I could do a refund of the money but not at the moment .... after 5 hours waiting for another manager I call security to take me out of the Hotel to me and my family with two children .... All porq I asked for some document that would indicate me that I was not going to be using the reservation .... I had already done the check-in and needed evidence to make sure of the refund. It was not easy, get to New York and not know where to stay and more when traveling with my 2 children 3 and 12 years ... Horrible Experience ....

Haben nie eingecheckt. Die Schlange an der Rezeption war buchstäblich 3-4 Stunden lang.
Die Lage ist einfach toll! Wenn Sie vorhaben, nur zu Schlafen, dann ist dieses Hotel perfekt.

Das einzig gute am Hotel ist die Lage
Es war mit Abstand das schlimmste Hotel, in dem ich je war. Die Zimmer sind aus den 80ern. Dreckig und riechen nach Zigaretten. Das Personal ist unfreundlich nicht bereit auf die meisten einfachen Fragen zu antworten. Der Parkservice ist ein Witz. Es dauerte 1,5 Stunden, bis wir unser Fahrzeug wiederhatten als wir auscheckten.
Schlechtes Hotel in guter Lage
Hotel Pennsylvania besticht durch eine zentrale Lage in New York, nur einen 5-minütigen Fußmarsch von Penn Station und 6 Gehminuten von Macy's entfernt. Zum Angebot gehören ein rund um die Uhr geöffnetes Businesscenter, ein Express-Check-in und ein Express-Check-out.
