This is a very special and unique accommodation right outside the walls of the old town of Óbidos which makes it an ideal location for visiting the gorgeous old town. Stepping into this guesthouse is like taking a step back in time. The house is full of character and charm and oldie world style. Casa do Fontanário de Óbidos is run by Joáo, an extremely friendly and welcoming guy. He couldn't do enough for us. He was amazing. He helped us to park our car on the tiny hilly street, he recommended nice restaurants, provided us with water and gave us advice for our onward journey. Breakfast was plentiful and was served by a lovely lady. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Óbidos and experience something special at a very reasonable price.

The breakfast is amazing, you feel like you are a guest! João is super nice and offered us a home Ginjinha (famous liquor from Óbidos) during our checkin. It is 5 minutes from the center of the city! Perfect!

Die übrigen gastronomischen Angebote sind leider kein gleichwertiger Ersatz. Auch keinerlei Alternativen in der näheren Umgebung. Insgesamt nüchterne und teils unruhige Atmosphäre. Abgeschiedene Lage in einer "künstlichen" Resortlandschaft.

Positiv:: The overall experience was very good. The staff from the time we arrived until the time we left were attentive and kind. Our ground floor room was private with amazing views of the ocean and natural landscaping was amazing including easy access to the pristine beach from our room albeit many steps on a comfortable staircase to reach the beach but well worth it. Room service was excellent with healthy portions and nice presentation. We would and will definitely visit and stay at this Marriot again.

Positiv:: The hotel is within a building from the 14th century. Everything here is really old and very traditional and spreads medieval character. Staff is very helpful, the room is old but cosy. It‘s worth booking a room with Castle view! Breakfast is good.

Negativ:: If you like modern, functional hotels this is not the right place for you. It‘s a very old, traditional hotel. What I did not like is the fact that there is no restaurant at this hotel. You need to go and eat out. There is a small room service menu, with prices that could ne interpreted as a rip off. A fruit platter 9€, in a country where people earn 3€ per hour? I find this totally exaggerated. Óbidos is a special place, yes. But it is very touristic and not well kept. Very neglected walls and houses everywhere. There are much nicer places to be visited in Portugal.

Positiv:: Location was easy to get to and close to the gate entrance to the wall. Beautiful terrace. Rooms are small but comfortable. The staff are overwhelmingly friendly are eager to ensure the guests are comfortable.

Negativ:: There was a foul sewer odour backing up from the bathroom. Apparently this is a problem generated by the towns sewer system. In is not always there, just bad timing for our stay. Other than that the hotel is cozy and the staff are excellent.

Rooms were bright, airy, and large. Staff was extremely helpful and on duty at the front desk 24/7. Breakfast had solid diversity and a good range of hours. Patio/balcony was welcome and offered privacy even at the ground-floor level (since it opened to a large but beautiful empty space occasionally used for restaurant seating during the evenings). Highly recommended!

Positiv:: The Casa das Senhoras Rinhas is a very sweet hotel inside the walls of Obidos. In fact, we had a room that overlooked the wall, right next to the hotel! The staff at the front desk were warm and welcoming and even offered us a "welcome drink" of a cherry liquor that is representative of this region. The room was large and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect in a 5 Star property. The location is great because you are on a quiet side street away from the touristy crowds, yet close enough to indulge if you wanted to. What I loved about the hotel was that it was inside the city walls and an early morning walk with the sun rising before the tour buses arrived was surreal imagining what it must have been like 800 years ago. An interesting fact about the town was that early in Portugal's history, the King's of Portugal gave the governance of the city of Obidos to their Queens. There were a succession of queens that ruled Obidos and each of the rooms are named after one of them.

Negativ:: Just as a caution if you have hired a driver to take you to the hotel or if you are driving yourself. There is an entrance to the city in the rear wall of the castle. You just have to drive around to the back. Our driver didn't know about it so he dropped us off at another entrance through the wall and we had to walk with our luggage to the hotel which was about 600 feet. Not bad, but they do allow cars in the town and you just need to find the entrance.

Negativ:: Wir haben eine Aufenthalt von 5 Tagen gebucht, in dieser Zeit hatten wir einen Zimmerwechsel. In dem ersten Zimmer hat es auf der Toilette sehr streng gerochen und der Duschkopf hat überall geleckt. Nach der ersten Nacht hatten wir dies beanstandet und ein neues Zimmer bekommen. In diesem hat es leider genauso gestunken. Man muss dazu sagen, dass noch zwei weitere Zimmer von Bekannten im gleichen Zeitraum gebucht wurden und es in diesen Zimmer ebenfalls gleich gerochen hat, allerdings nicht so stark. Ich würde das Hotel nicht als 5* Hotel bewerten.

Positiv:: Beautiful old house situated right next to the castle inside the town walls. The location of the property is perfect if you are arriving by foot. The beds were very comfortable and the town was very quiet at night. The staff was helpful and friendly. Nice decent breakfast. The property and its decor has been kept and it almost feels like a warp back in time.

Negativ:: The Wi-Fi was poor in some areas of the property. The bread/pastries offered in breakfast weren’t very fresh. The inside courtyard smelled a bit of sewage which I believe it’s something common for an old property such as this one. Not very easy access if you are arriving by car. Unrelated to the property but something that had an effect in our stay was the fact that Óbidos has completely lost it's essence and is now overrun with tourists and almost no residents. It almost felt like a theme park. Such a shame. Completely different story even a couple of years ago.

Aber das gehört irgendwie zum Haus dazu und sorgt für lustige Situationen wenn einige mit den Beinen am Tisch anstoßen und so der Kaffee überschwappt. :-)

Positiv:: Luxus-Spa mit Naturpool mit Salzwasser (ohne Chemie), Jacuzzi, Sauna und Feuerstelle. Die Appartments sind höchster Standard, alles neu und in weiß. Sehr schick und hochwertig. Die Feuerstelle ist genial. Man bekommt Decken und Popcorn dazu, wenn´s abends kalt wird. Die Kids waren mehr als begeistert.

Negativ:: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt eigentlich, trotzdem ist die Anlage teuer. Vermutlich auch deswegen nicht ausgebucht. Wir hatten die Anlage fast für uns alleine. Von außen macht die Anlage auf den ersten Eindruck nicht viel her. Sie liegt am Ende einer Straße in einem Wohnviertel. Der Innere Bereich ist aber toll.

Positiv:: Very nice location, it's quiet and walking distance to the beautiful lagoon. Some typical Portuguese restaurants close by, 5 min by car. The service is very friendly and punctual. Order breakfast at 8h30 and you will get it at 8h30 exactly :-)

Negativ:: You do need a car, there is no shop or restaurant at walking distance. But this didn't bother us, the plus side of that is that it's quiet, a good place to relax.

Positiv:: LIked the unique style. A Portuguese Casa. Kitchen facilities not extensive, but very adequate. We liked the warmth of our welcome. We liked the parking just outside our Casa. We liked our view of the castle and the location to the town. Very quiet.

Negativ:: The stairs from the bedroom to the bathroom at night are deceptive and deep. Very tricky as the rooms are very dark at night. I couldn't arrange the lighting so that the bathroom was lit, but not keeping us awake. My husband fell during the night missing his footing on the last step.

Unser Zimmer war sehr klein, die Armaturen total veraltet, Duschgel etc nicht vorhanden. Frühstück ok, aber nichts besonderes. Manager und Personal total unflexibel. Insgesamt zu teuer.

Ihr eigenes Bad verfügt über eine Dusche. Ein Frühstücksbuffet wird täglich neben dem Kamin oder am Pool serviert. Sie können Ihr Frühstück auch in Ihrem Zimmer genießen. Im Außenbereich des Pegada finden Sie Holzbänke vor, auf denen Sie die Sonne genießen oder entspannt eine Zeitung lesen können. Positiv:: Der Empfang war besonders freundlich, das Zimmer nett und sauber, es lässt sich komplett verdunkeln, was wir sehr schätzen. Die Lage in kurzer Fußentfernung zur historischen Altstadt und trotzdem weg vom Touristenrummel war genial. Swimmingpool sauber, Frühstück prima. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Negativ:: Die Hunde und der Hahn in der Nachbarschaft haben uns dazu veranlasst, Ohropax zu benutzen. Das WLAN hat im Zimmer nicht funktioniert, aber das ist ja heutzutage kein großes Problem mehr.

Das sehr gute Frühstück wird in einem gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum serviert. Dieses lädt zu einem mehrtägigen Aufenthalt ein. Die Altstadt liegt gut 5 Fußminuten nah. Alles ist mit Liebe hergerichtet, das Personal ist sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich sofort wohl.

The Beachfront is in need of a of a lot of TLC, the walls are discoloured on the outside and inside and the townhouse was missing a fair amount of touches for a 5 start property. i.e. soap dishes, glasses for toothbrushes in toilets. Board games/family packs for the house to use, washing machine was not working properly. We had to complaint about our 5th day full house clean as the house wasn't touched apart from the beds. The downstairs had a very strong smell of damp which should be addresses immediately prior to re renting the property. The biggest disappointment this year was the lack of facilities versus previous years. The Mare restaurant used to be open all day for drinks and snacks and now its barely open for breakfast and dinner. The kids club was fully booked on all days and the family excursions where booked up for the week. The Marriott wanted to charges us EUR35.00 each to use their pool for a couple of hours which is totally crazy. This was our 4th time in Praia del Rey and we where actually interested in buying in the resort but we have come away very disappointed this time and are now looking at alternative options.

Außer fertig Rührei sind weitere Eierspeisen kostenpflichtig. Was der Anlage fehlt ist eine Bar oder ähnliches.

Negativ:: Auf keinen Fall 5 Sterne wert, maximal 3. Kein Service im Zimmer und am Pool. Trotz hohen Preisen überteuerte Miete von Liegestühlen und Sonnenschirmen am Strand. Einrichtung in der Küche war mangelhaft (keine Rüstmesser etc.) Reparaturbedürftige WCs Personal an der Reception sehr unfreundlich und keinerlei Service-Verständnis. Kein ‚wie hat es Ihnen gefallen‘ oder ‚danke‘... Wahrscheinlich mangelhafte oder gar keine Ausbildung.

Positiv:: During our trip across Portugal, we stayed in Beachfront Hotel one day and it was a mistake, because we should stay here for at least 3-4 days. So if you visited Lisbon and you are a little bit tired and if you plan to go to Porto next it's perfect location to rest in apartment almost on the beach. Take one of "C" apartments (we had 08) because you will have the best ocean view - last line of apartments and no apartments below. Two level apartment is very spacious with large terraces and kitchen so you can eat breakfasts even at 11 (buy Delta capsules for coffee machine). The rest is quite usual for all hotels: sunset at the ocean, listening to the ocean, ocean breathtaking and other ocean activities :).

Negativ:: Maybe if we stay longer I could find something.

Positiv:: Riesenfenster und Balkone zum Meer im Wohn-Essbereich und in jedem Schlafzimmer, direkter Zugang zum schönen (zu unserer Zeit sehr leeren) Strand, Pool sehr nahe, sehr viel Platz. Waren zweimal im Clubhaus essen, sehr in Ordnung. Es ist nicht weit nach Obidos und Peniche, ohne Auto geht hier allerdings nichts.

Negativ:: Leider gibt es wohl im Erdgeschoss ein Problem mit einem Wasserschaden, den man nicht sieht, aber riecht. Schade. Die Kücheneinrichtung könnte besser sein, es gibt zwar enorm viele Schränke, die sind aber oft enorm leer.

We were told we would have to wait until the next day. We were only there for 4 nights and for the money we paid and they claimed to be a luxury property, it certainly wasn't a luxury service. No air conditioning. You cant leave your patio doors open as the balconies form both directions are so close you can climb over them. We didn't like the idea of anyone being able to get in our room when we were asleep. Very over built, sprawling resort in the middle of no where. Swimming pool needed cleaning. Definitely aroma of children's wee! Has a small supermarket. opening hours not great and overpriced. This is at height of summer! Shop in Obidos before you arrive. Kitchen not equipped to a great standard. Very basic.

Positiv:: Nice location in a big complex of holiday houses/apartments. The place is clean and relatively quiet. The pool was clean and the nearby beach as well

Negativ:: The grocery store on site is rediculous (small, limited offerings, no fresh bread,etc). The place looks half deserted half inhabited. There are plenty of sports and outdoor activities offered but the people at the reception did not mention anything about it to us for some odd reason. It took 15 minutes just to get in and out of the area anytime we wanted to do something or buy something. The area called “beachfront” does not mean you really get a room facing the beach ! Beware.

Positiv:: Wir haben sogar ein Upgrade für eine noch größere Wohnung erhalten und hatten zu Viert ( Vater, Mutter, zwei Kinder) insgesamt 3 Schafzimmer und 2 Bäder. Das große Wohnzimmer und die Marken- Einbauküche mit Siemens- Elektrogeräten ( Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Herd, Kühl-Gefrierkombination) sind hervorzuheben, genauso wie die Marmorarbeitsplatte. Gern immer wieder :-)

Positiv:: Very nice apartment. Well equipped and very spacious. Nice swimming pool. However, the place is a bit strange. It is a very large area (!) and you need a car even to go the restaurant or to the reception. The sea view is not significant and doesn't worth the extra payment. Also the road next to our apartment was very noisy. About 30 steps from the parking lots that are quite challenging when you have suitcases.

Negativ:: Our apartment was on the 2nd floor. It was quite challenging to move the suitcase through all the stair from the parking lot to the apartment!

Positiv:: Very friendly, eager to help and professional staff. The peace, calm and tranquility in an absolutely magnificent, quiet and clean holiday resort are strong points. The apartment we stayed at was extremely well equipped. Nothing was missing and we were surprised with all the equipment and cutlery available. TVs in living room and master bedroom was great and, of course, the clean outdoor swimming pool and recreational area made for a better experience. The accommodation, towels and linen were super clean, the beds large and the mattresses very comfortable. No shortage of parking right next to the accommodation. An ideal location for family holidays

Negativ:: The weather seems to be the big problem. If the purpose of the stay is to spend time at the beach, you may be in for a bitter disappointment. It´s not a particularly warm location and usually the sky is clouded until late in the day. Also, the wind is strong and can be chilly. The house would benefit from better soundproofing as well. A heated pool would also have been a bonus. Overall, nothing truly negative to mention.

Negativ:: The entire complex and the apartment have seen their best years. There is some maintenance missing, as the salty air takes its toll. Many little things need to be fixed but no one seems to take notice. Swimming pool water could be cleaner.

Negativ:: One of the worse experiences we had. As soon as we entered the apartment there was this humidity smell in the air in the villa’s lower level that became unbreathable as soon as we entered the bedroom. Opening the window was out of the question due to the bugs outside and there was an infestation of flies in the bathroom. Since it was after midnight and the reception was closed, we ended up carrying the bed sheets to the upper level and sleeping in the couch. We complained in the reception the next day and showed photos (attached) and after two calls to the manager and lots of unnecessary arguing and being offered two vouchers with a discount on the next visit they ended up refunding the money in full. We weren’t expecting this kind of treatment in a five star resort. The villas are old and need urgent repairing! A few hours after leaving the hotel the manager didn’t even bothered in giving us a call to apologize, instead sent an email with yet another voucher offer.

Negativ:: Dust over the furniture everywhere. Outdoor patio wasn't clean either. Old rugs on the floor. We asked for king size beds and were given single beds. Breakfast selection was poor and the breakfast room was so crowded we had to eat at the bar tables. Security guards at the entry are rude and confused. We were offered, as a welcome gift, half a liter of wine for 4 people.

Positiv:: The best thing about the hotel is definitely its location: right in the center of Obidos. However, it is necessary to park out of the city walls. There are paid parking areas as well as a free parking a little further (5-10 minutes walk to get to the hotel).

Negativ:: Bunk beds are very noisy, whenever you move, the rest of the people in the room will hear it. At the breakfast, be ready for a large amount of flies (even though the breakfast area is indoors and the flies may be easily avoided by a window net).

Positiv:: The location is great, it's on Obidos's busiest street. Breakfast was good! The receptionist was nice, arranged taxis for us to and from the train station. Bed was clean.

Negativ:: There weren't enough outlets. They bathroom layout is super inefficient. Hard to even enter because the door swings directly into the toilet. Can be easily fixed if the towel hanger is moved to wall where the trash can sits in the center of the bathroom, then the door can swing into the wall instead of the toilet. As well, there weren't any toilet paper holder.

This could be the problem of one bed only, but still, it spoilt my positive attitude to the place

The bathroom wasn't very clean, there was even a band-aid laying on the floor! The wifi didn't work half of the time and when it did, it did it very poorly. I really can't recommend this hotel, I expect more from a 3 star one.

Positiv:: This was a dream stay. Who has not had a fantasy of living in a castle? We booked long in advance to assure a room high in the castle. We were in a room at the parapet level with a private balcony on a small out pocket of the castle. A truly amazing spot. The staff gave great assistance since we drove up narrow roadways designed for horses. They could not have done more to make our visit exceptional. Of course a room in the castle is expensive but once in a lifetime it was worth it. The room of the top ranking officer is spartan by star ratings, but this room had a special quality not found anywhere..

Positiv:: The atmosphere, the surroundings, the sense of history were amazing. The staff are really professional and customer service-oriented. They apologized profusely for the shower incident the next day. The restaurant is beautiful and the food there is great.

Negativ:: Our shower flooded the whole bathroom (the water didn't go down the plug, it just kept welling up)...had to use all the towels to mop up the water. I could've called reception but it was midnight and my partner was asleep. For the price you pay, things like these just shouldn't happen.

Negativ:: A very expensive stay for what you get! We had a spacious room but we weren’t warned that tourist groups would have access to the area where our room was located so we had no privacy. We had loads of people trying to peer into our room with no consideration. The room itself was ok, with no extra touches that you would expect from a Pousada and the prices charged.

So many people walking in the streets, so it is a challenge to drive, but we were fine because we are use to it. Unfortunately I am comparing it to other Pousadas and because this one is situated in an old castle and one of Portugal's Seven Wonders, it has that very old musty smell everywhere, but it was a very unique place with historic charm. The location is perfect to venture off to the Batalha Monastery, Tomar, Convento di Cristo, Fatima, Nazare, Mira de Aire Caves, Grutas da Moeda and Peniche. We stayed at the Pousada for two nights, and this was enough to see Obidos, but not enough to get around to all the other wonderful places I mentioned. The restaurant has charm, a little expensive and the food at dinner was ok for us, again comparing it to other restaurants all over Portugal. It has fantastic views of the Country side and very historic town but way too many tourists visit in the day, that looses it's charm in my opinion. There is not much to see in the castle just the hotel, the outside exterior is were the beauty is. Still worth a visit and stay for something unique. A special thank you to Fabio, he has exceptional customer service attributes.

Positiv:: Staff was really helpful with all sort of tourist information, and favours. Breakfast was good and variegate, room was clean and the price was adequate. A little garden behind the room let us enjoy a short and comfortable lunch with town's products.

Negativ:: There was a lot of lighting in the restaurant. Could have halved the light level and it would still have been bright enough. Our room did not have a good aspect looking out onto the internal courtyard. Cleaning staff were lurking around window in the morning while I was getting ready so had to close the shutters. Not great value for money, accommodation or the restaurant. Our meal was expensive and the room was very disappointing.

Positiv:: The dining area was absolutely stunning! Great atmosphere. Popular restaurant and great Gin selection.

Negativ:: The bedrooms are under whelming. Very basic for the money you pay. Bathroom stank of urine, and in general they are in need of maintenance and an upgrade. Pillows and mattress were extremely soft.

Negativ:: Room was a little small but a factor of the original building use.

Positiv:: Very quirky hotel. Nice breakfast. Plenty of bookshelves to explore. Good range of gins, if you like gin. Good location for exploring the walled village nearby, the main gate being a short walk up a rather steep bill. Rooms pleasant, if a little spartan... well it wasn’t original convent I suppose.

Negativ:: The bathrooms had no obvious ventilation resulting in a complaint from one of our party that there was a permanent drain smell in theirs. Despite a promise at check in we never received the “romantic package” promised in one of the room descriptions and, presumably, also included in the price. Staff sometimes elusive ( although most pleasant when actually there).

Positiv:: The decoration makes this place unforgettable. The location and staff is also great.

Negativ:: The lack of sunlight make the carpe with a mouldy smell, which can give the wrong impression. Because The hotel was sparkling clean.

Positiv:: Das Hotel Literary Man besitzt über 65.000 Bücher. Die meisten Bücher sind englisch sprachig. Das Konzept ist unter anderem, dass sich die Gäste gerne Bücher mitnehmen dürfen oder auch gelesene Bücher dort liegen lassen können.

Negativ:: Schwierig kann es mit der Parkplatzsuche werden, wir hatten jedoch Glück, dass direkt vor dem Hotel was frei wurde.

Positiv:: Loved the whole hotel’s concept. We also had a nice courtyard outside our room, which was the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine. It was easy to walk into the village, which was quant. Lots of tourists, but we did find a nice place with a view to enjoy a couple of beers. We had dinner in the hotel, and it was one of the best meal we had during our whole trip.

Negativ:: Parking was a bit of a challenge. It’s very, very hilly and parallel parking was almost impossible in some areas. Don’t park directly in front of the hotel, go around a bit where it’s a little more level. We saw a car that was blocked in, because they couldn’t back up without hitting the car in front of them. The owner of the other car finally came out, but they could of been stuck there for a very long time had they not been located.

Positiv:: The literary theme of the hotel is unique, Gin and wine bar awesome, very informed servers, eager and knowledgeable, friendly, gin and tonics great; food in the restaurant a TEN, best meal we had in Portugal; you can watch your meal being cooked if you want. If you go to this area you should stay here for one night, even if you also stay in the expensive Pousada on the hill as well; literary man is a real bucket list experience as far as hotels go.

Negativ:: Pillows too soft, mattress kind of hard, but didn’t really matter. Be prepared for possible parking challenge, but you will be able to park, Antonio will help you! No elevator, just FYI, prepare smaller bag just for the night so you don’t have to take in all you luggage.

5.0 Befriedigend

Positiv:: The location is good if you go by car, which we did. The sauna was good. The overall design of the hotel was nice. The breakfast was good.

Negativ:: Clogged bathtub, room change was not immediately offered instead it was suggested that we wait 2 days for the technician to come unclog it. The 2nd room had a malfunctioning hand sink and no hair dryer, we asked 2 times for an hair dryer to no avail. The mattress had springs poking out, so we had to search for a good position to sleep in. The mini bar was non-existent in the 1st (although there should be one), and empty in the 2nd room. The TV was good sized but sometimes the transmission would fail momentarily. The inside pool was unbearable due to the amount of chlorine vapor present in the air, we started coughing as soon as we got there, and left immediately. The turkish bath (?) was unfortunately under maintenance the 3 days we were there. The sound isolation was not bad but could be better, we could clearly hear our neighbors coughing. Some of these problem would more acceptable if not for the price per night. At nearly 100€ per night these problems are unacceptable IMHO.

Positiv:: Staff was very friendly, the pool area small and calming, the little spa great and the breakfast really tasty. The fact that it was a little calming resort just off Óbidos was perfect. We took it as a break after spending the whole day travelling and walking in the Dino Park in Lourinhã, so the peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking for.

Negativ:: The cleaning was unfortunately a little on the "needs improvement". My kid let a ball fall under the bed and we found a little too many dusty bunnies clinging to it afterwards. It was also a pity that the external façade had some clear water damage.

Positiv:: Minimal, modern hotel really close to Obidos (5' by car). It was clean and comfortable. It also has a nice swimming pool area to relax. The breakfast was really good, lots of options and fresh food.

Negativ:: There was no local flair or character in the hotel surroundings or inside, related to Obidos. I would not recommend it to someone looking for an authentic stay.

Negativ:: Der Pool war dreckig, es gab nur 5 Liegen am Pool. Die Zimmer waren dreckig und Schimmel an den Wänden. Das Hotel kann man nicht empfehlen.

Positiv:: This is always a nice hotel to stay at as it is easy access for people who have mobility issues. We had dinner there and the food was not fancy but good quality, which was perfect. On check out we asked to buy tickets for a local festival and were given day passes to the festival in Obidos which was a truly pleasant surprise. Room was quiet and comfortable.

Negativ:: nothing to say

Negativ:: Warum wird der Rasen nicht bewässert, würde viel besser aussehen. Warum wird die Terrasse nicht aufgeräumt? Warum gibt es keine Kissen auf den Terrassenmöbeln? Warum gibt es abends keine Lichter oder Kerzen auf der Terrasse?

Negativ:: On arrival, the staff were very focussed on a wedding taking place at the hotel. They did not have time for us as the wedding was apparently more important. After we eventually got checked in, we tried to order snacks from the bar menu, but they said that the kitchen was closed because of the wedding (we only wanted a toastie!), Food was eventually supplied via room service 90mins later with a 5euro charge for 2 5 Euro toasties!!
