Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ auch keine Wünsche offen. Sehr liebe und immer auskunftsfreudige Mitarbeiter. Tolle Bar im Hotel und schöne gepflegte Poolanlage. Zum Sandstrand nur über die Straße. The hotel itself has a beautiful layout, the rooms and facilities around are spotlessly clean, it has a chic style and rooms are really spacious. Positiv:: The welcome was positive and friendly. Aga and her team (Sandro, Izla (?) are always polite and helpful. We were loaned a free wheelchair which was so useful with my elderly mother. The dining-room staff were also lovely and Carlos greeted us with a warm welcome every time. We thoroughly enjoyed the vast array of food and were grateful for our extra tea bags and milk in our room. The pool and its surrounding area was always clean and tidy and we enjoyed our bar meals and drinks. Nothing is too much trouble and we had a relaxing, pleasant stay. We also spent a great evening with Bruno & Friends with fabulous singing and dancing, all for free. We love the convenient location and the shops and cafés nearby. The free WiFi was excellent to use and the a/c in the rooms worked well. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of pillows/cushions too.

Negativ:: I was glad that I’d brought a shower mat as the shower was very smooth and dangerous for my 89 year old mother.

Positiv:: We arrived at 11pm to be greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist named Javier. We had missed dinner but a tasty meal had been left for us which was thoughtful and an unexpected treat. Our allocated sea view room smelled of cigarette smoke and Javier immediately apologised and found us another room, telling us that in the morning we could choose to stay in the new room or return to our deodorised original room the following day. However, in the morning we were upgraded to a superior sea view room with a roof terrace, sun beds and tub, which was excellent. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff - including the maintenance man - were helpful and friendly, always greeting us with a smile. The selection of food at breakfast and dinner was good and the restaurant staff efficient and friendly. In fact we loved our stay so much we've booked a suit for next year!

Negativ:: There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the hotel but if we had to be critical of anything it was that the dinner dress code ie no shorts - was not enforced. The notice excluding shorts was not clearly visible so it wasn't really a surprise that guests didn't comply.

Negativ:: The price was escalated and was not as good value as other hotels in the area. The room was very comfortable but really you need a sea view to experience the benefits of the location. Our room overlooked the bins at the back... Some of the staff are amazing, one was quite rude and let the place down.

Tägliche Zimmerreinigung sehr sauber , aber zeitlich unflexibel ! Kein Wasser im Kühlschrank , Morgencafe darf man nicht jeden Tag auf das Zimmer mitnehmen ??? Einmal kosteten 2 Café 3,60 Euro, tags darauf die gleichen 2 Café 5 Euro ???

Positiv:: We were self catering with a 4 month old baby. There were no cereal bowls in the apartment. When I asked, I was told it policy that none of the rooms had cereal bowls. I was told I could ask for them from the restaurant or buy them. After being refused them by the restaurant manager, eventually the receptionist was able to get them for me. We paying 200 euro a night and I felt this was completely unacceptable. I specifically requested a non-ground floor apt when booking and we got a ground floor apt. In fairness, when I asked we got moved to another apt but it was a bad first impression. The only lift that worked to get to our initial apt did not work which meant I had to carry our bags up stairs. Not what you want after a long flight. I dont think you should have to pay for a travel cot or a safe given that the price per night is already very high. You would expect that for the price that it would be an electronic safe but old fashioned safe with key that you must carry around. We had requested before arriving that we wished to extend our stay by one night. For some bizarre reason they could not join up the bookings and they had to be treated separately. On the last day of our holiday our key cards were automatically disabled without notice. We were told this was because we had too separatr bookings. With a four month old baby trying to get into the apt I felt this was unacceptable. No real apology was given. Overall nice modern hotel but it is not in my opinion worth the price - the small things in particular let it down - washing liquid is not replaced you have to buy your own, cutlery or plates are not washed by cleaning staff - you do that yourself, no cereal bowls, not enough lifts.

The kids absolutely loved the pools and it was a great touch to also have an adults only pool. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. On o e of the days we found the microwave was not working and within 20 minutes the microwave was replaced with a new one. The hotel is perfectly situated and close to most of the amenities we wanted to take the kids to. I would highly recommend the hotel to all family and friends

Positiv:: Great place to stay! Very clean and comfortable room and nice personnel. Very close to the beach (100 m), bus stop (direct bus from the airport, bus to Palma,...), restaurants - just in the centre of Palmanova.

Negativ:: As you are in the center of all the action of Palmanova, streets are noisy - that can disturb you durring the night, but it is something you have to accept when you want to stay in this location and it is not a problem of the hostel or something that should lower the rating in my opinion. What can we do with this? We didn't mind that :)

Positiv:: The place has a lovely feel to it. You can sit in the bar area which is covered with lovely flowers and nice relaxing chairs and nice music and even play pool. The rooms are immaculate and, yes, basic, but we didn't go on holiday to watch TV. The bathroom was airy and spacious. We stayed in room 3, second floor on a corner. The weather was rather hot so we spend the whole week on the beach. The staff are superb, Roberto has charisma and the 2 ladies are so polite and always happy (i am sorry i never asked their names). Even the cleaner has manners and our room was tidied every day except thursdays. So happy with our stay, so local to everywhere ie bus stop, magaluf, beach and shops. Wow give it a go. Its fab.

Negativ:: There was nothing we did not like. Some reviews say that the local night club was noisy but we did not get disturbed at all. I would definitely be coming back to Hostal Roberto.

Positiv:: We were upgraded to a junior suite which was wonderful. There was a good choice of foods at meal times but the noise in the dining room was not conducive to sitting and enjoying a glass of wine. Otherwise the location and service was great.

Negativ:: The dining room. I couldn't wait to get out at dinner. Breakfast wasn't too bad if you were an early riser. I like a calm atmosphere at a restaurant and this was more like a giant canteen. Plenty of choice but not super quality,but for the price of was ok.

Negativ:: Das Hotel ist ein reines "all inclusive" Hotel. Der Frühstücksraum gleicht einer Kantine mit nur einem Fenster. Der Frühstücksraum (darin wird auch das Mittag und Abendessen serviert) ist nicht unterteilt und daher vom Geräuschpegel her sehr hoch. Ein einziges Geklappere und Gescheppere mit dem Geschirr. Wer in diesem Hotel wirklich Erholung sucht sollte da nicht hin gehen. Auch die Angestellten in diesem Bereich machen nur Dienst nach Vorschrift....... Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist. Diese "Bettenburg" hat sag und schreibe 9 (!) Parkplätze für Hotelgäste. Die Suche nach einem Parkplatz , den wir oft auch noch zahlen mussten war jeden Tag eine Herausforderung. Das Hotel liegt unweit der Partymeile von Magaluf entfernt wo sich Nachts hauptsächlich englische Partygäste tummeln .Dadurch kann man auch nicht wirklich von abendlicher Ruhe sprechen wenn man wie wir ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite hat. Wir würden dieses Hotel mit unserer Familie nicht mehr gehen.

Positiv:: The hotel is located as close to the beach as possible. It has a great terrace where you can drink and relax, while enjoying the view on the blue sea, yachts and mountains. You can play old arcade games there or enjoy pinball as well.

Negativ:: Cleaning personel seemed a bit unprofessional to us - despite the "Do not disturb" sign on a door, they knocked and did not wait for our response before walking in on us (thankfully we were fully dressed...). They did not change our sheets, even though there was an accidental stain on one of those. The breakfast, although big in terms of selections, wasn't at all tasty - I was really disappointed in the jamon iberico and olives, as well as a very soft pieces of bacon. The bar closes at 11 pm and there is no place in the hotel where you can by drinks after that time! The elevators are either broken or old and shaky, every time they stop they shake like crazy. You also have to wait for a long time before they arrive.

Breakfast was delicious, the location is spectacular and the cleanliness was GREAT! CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN! Also if you get a chance go to the spa and get a massage, honestly the best we have ever had! :)

Positiv:: I thought the breakfast was very good. A great selection. The quality of the food at the pool bar was good. The pool boy was very helpful despite everyone bagging the sun beds in the morning and not sitting on them for hours

Negativ:: We arrived late at night. Very long check in, about half an hour with no smile or welcome. The male receptionist gave us a ticket for beach towels and then told us if we lost them, it would be €20. The room was very basic but adequate. The safe required a key (it’s been a long time since I came across one like that!) I had to return to the reception and was greeted by another man who gave me a key and a receipt to sign and told me if I lost the key it would be €20. I don’t know if this reflects on their clientele or the policy of the hotel but I felt it was very unfriendly and left me feeling that the hotel didn’t welcome their guests in a proper manner and the guests in a positive way. The other big problem was the fluctuating temperature in the shower. At some point it was very very hot and then went cold. I didn’t complain at the time but I should have. Also the service at the pool bar restaurant is very poor. There was only one girl taking food orders and she was completely stressed and rushed off her feet. Also there were very basic toiletries in the room. No shower caps, no soap or other bits and pieces usually expected. Only liquid soap and conditioner in a large bottles.

Negativ:: Die Zimmer sind nicht 4 Sterne würdig, sie sind billig saniert und sind abgenutzt. Die Zimmer sind ringhörig. Alles ist etwas lieblos. Die Duschstange war nicht richtig montiert. Kein Bodenteppich im Bad die Duschglaswand lässt Wasser durch da keine optimale Abdichtung. Klimaanlage ist gross und lärmig. Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze, ein Tresorschlüssel muss an der Rezeption verlangt werden.

Positiv:: Food selection was very good especially the salads and fruit. Hot food was questionable? Hotel rooms were kept super clean - every day a good cleaning. There was water and apples in the reception area which I liked.

Negativ:: But my main complaint was that the staff made a point of making us feel different. We were asked for our wristbands. We didn't have one. We weren't told that we weren't allowed to have a drink of water with our main meal. It seems this hotel is block-booked for full board so they're not used to half board. We had booked half-board and the manager Ramon informed us that we were not allowed to take a drink of water with our dinner which I thought was over the top. He then instructed the waitresses to take our glasses from the table so that we couldn't use the water dispenser. We were informed we would have to buy water. For environmental reasons I think there should be a water fountain available for eating. There was water and apples in the reception area which I liked. I refuse to buy bottled water. Water should always be part of the deal in my view. The reception staff were not able to tell me how to get to their hotel by public transport. I had to find it out myself even though I had made 2 requests. Not everybody wants to take a taxi that costs 45-50 Euro. Again environmental issues as well as cost! We were on the 7th floor over quite a noisy road and there was blue plexiglass on the balcony which we hated. It hurt our eyes. The lighting over the beds was not great either. So book a pool view room if you can - it doesn't have the blue balconies and it's quieter. There are only 2 lifts (small taking up to 4 persons) so it can be slow!

Positiv:: Traveled alone to visit family staying elsewhere in Palma Nova and not once did I feel conspicuous by being on my own in the dining room or by the pool. This is an excellent, friendly hotel that definitely exceeded my expectations. Location is fabulous ... slap bang in the middle of two amazing beaches. The view from the pool and upper solarium deck are just perfect. Can't wait to visit again ... might even take my other half next time!! ;)

Negativ:: Arrived off an early flight and got to hotel at 10.30am. Was told the room would be ready between 12 and 2pm. Dozens of us had to wait until 4pm before we got access to our rooms, so really a whole day was wasted! It would be good if there was a system in place to clean the rooms first that had people waiting to check in to them. But on checking the room I had been allocated (several times between 12 and 4pm) it just appears to be a 'start at one end/finish at the other' cleaning policy. If you're arriving early, perhaps pack a separate 'poolside' bag on the top of your case.

There was at no point any rudeness, however I feel that they definitely could have been friendlier and definitely more professional, in there approach to the guests! Disappointing....to the point that we actually took ourselves out of the hotel for our evening meal and entertainment!!

Negativ:: We were refused to have water at the buffet saying it was extra charged although we had bed breakfast and dinner so anyone would think you WILL be able to have some WATER. We were highly disappointed with that and rudely treated by having our glasses with water forefully taken from us. Another thing was that with the photos advertised they showed the roof pool and sunbeds and we were not allowed to go there as there was apparently an extra charge to be able to but from the photos we booked the hotel due to the fact we could go to all those places around the hotel so I wasn't quite so pleased with that either.

Negativ:: The hotel staff were rude and not very helpful . The hotel food was not 4* there was not much choice. It was similar food every day. The plates and cutlery hadn't been cleaned very well. The staff in the dinning room were very slow at clearing tables and every day we struggled to find a table to sit at that didnt have dirty dishes on it. The rooms and balconies were very small. The entertainment was poor.

Neighbourhood was quite noisy on certain nights. There is a kindergarden exactly next to the hotel: it is very-very noisy in the morning because little childrens are constantly screaming...

Positiv:: Früherer Check-in + Frühstück am Anreisetag! Rezeption sehr kompetent + hilfsbereit Riesige Auswahl beim Frühstück + Abendbuffet Pool hatte eine gute Größe, die Aussicht war wunderbar, das Zimmer hatte eine gute Ausstattung und der SPA-Bereich war völlig ausreichend.

Negativ:: Sauberkeit - leider war unser Zimmer nur oberflächlich gereinigt. Servicekräfte(Kellner) beim Abendbuffet wirkten oft sehr genervt. Fitness Bereich war zu klein. Bettwäsche war nicht überzogen.

Positiv:: The views, wow, the views! First thing you’re met with as you walk through the lobby is the beautiful scenery around the hotel. We were offered a discounted rate to upgrade to a pool-view (I highly recommend either one of these rooms or the sea-view rooms, it’s really worth the slight price increase). Food was lovely with different meats and grill options each night. Drinks prices were very reasonable at €3 a glass for wine/cava and about the same for a beer. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly! Room and other areas of the hotel were spotless with friendly housekeeping staff who were willing to go the extra mile. Clean bath towels every day and fresh bedding. The sea access made for a great change from the pool being able to take a dip in the sea right on your doorstep. Being close to Magaluf, my partner and I were sceptical about the noise and punters but it was so quiet but not so far out the way we couldn’t go out if we wanted to.

Negativ:: The bars/restaurants in the hotel do not accept cash which was a bit of an issue as I did not take a credit card with me. However, you can use cash at reception to add a debit on to your room to use throughout the hotel. Spa books up really quickly so if you’re looking to use it I’d recommend booking upon arrival.

Service im Barbereich muss noch an sich arbeiten. Haben, obwohl nicht viele Gäste waren teilweise 30 Minuten auf ein Gin Tonic gewartet. im ganzen Haus gab es keine Bürsten für die Toilette

Positiv:: The hotel is in a great location with a nice pool area and clean modern rooms. The spa is nice to and there is access directly to the sea off of the rocks.

Negativ:: The staff on the reception were very helpful but in general the quality of service was poor and chaotic. There were not enough staff at reception and seemingly always a queue. The manager did nothing to assist with the queues even though he was sat next to the reception most of the time. Easy tasks such as ordering a cab etc took a long time when people were checking in.

Negativ:: Die Lage hat uns nicht zugesagt, ein Bettenbunker nach dem Anderen und trotz Nebensaison waren Strand etc recht voll. Das Hotel liegt in Palmanova lt. Beschreibung, jedoch ist die Stadt mit magaluf zusammengewachsen, das Hotel genau in der Mitte. Die Zimmer waren sauber aber in den öffentlichen Bereichen wie den Fluren, die Toiletten in der Nähe der Pools, dem Restaurant... lies die Sauberkeit Luft nach oben zu

Stairs to the sea (formally outside of hotel's territory, but nobody except clients can access it) - very thin and slippery, very dangerous, I suggest replace it.

Negativ:: Noise from other balconies was much more noticeable than in other places I have stayed, the rooms were huge but the balconies were small. Pretty obvious that non-residents from Magaluf were just walking in and using the pool facilities - this needs addressing- bit much when you are paying €200 a night. There is lots of glass at this hotel on the balconies and sea facing communal areas,, and it wasn't being cleaned.

Positiv:: Views are the main positive of the hotel. Most of the rooms have sea and pool view. Swimming pool lovely. Clear and clean water; pool was cleaned every morning! Lots of space around the pool therefore no problems with sunbeds at all. Hotel is on the hill but it's not bad at all; it's worth it. It is quite a walk to the beach though. If you turn left right from the hotel, in 10 mins you'll reach Magaluff beach; turn right from hotel and in 10 min you'll be on Palmanova beach which is much cleaner than Magaluff. Palmanova is much more child friendly and more 'international' whereas Magaluff is defo louder, dirtier and full of Britons. Rooms in hotel 'cleaned' everyday but your sheets and towels are changed every 3 days.

Negativ:: Hotel is bit noisy but bearable. We stayed on top floor where noise wasn't that bad as most 'loud' people were located in studios which are on the lower floor. You can always ask to change your room though. Top floors recommended if you are with a family. Music from the pool was nice and not too loud. Hotel is aged and it is visible but the views will make up for it!!! Car rental recommended as bus stops are about 20min walk. Also very cheap supermarket 'Eroski' in Palmanova is a ' 5Euro away' with a taxi but is worth as local markets are quite expensive. Hotel car rental avarage price. Beds not too comfy. Magaluf 'Aqualand' is shut in 2010 so go for Western Park or drive to S'Arenal although 24Euro fee is not worth.

Positiv:: GIL: We liked the air conditioned rooms, it was calm and we could sleep during the nights. The breakfast is cheap and good: 3 Euro/ person and you can choose from about 12 options, they will make it to you (drinks are not included, you need to buy them separately from the bar). The beach & main streets are 10 mins walk.

Negativ:: So basically there are 2 buildings: GABARDA with the pool, breakfast, bar & reception and GIL, the other building the cheaper option, where you don't have facilities, so you need to walk to the other building. We stayed at GIL, and it was not bad. We had rooms on the 2nd floor (no elevators, not recommended for elder people). The walls are very thin, we could almost talk with the neighbor room through the plugs and sockets.

Negativ:: We could hear all the noises coming from the hotel’s bar/restaurant/corridor-we had a room on the first floor next to the staircase. Seemed like the doors were made from paper really. I would recommend to invest in the additional door between the small corridor inside the room and the sleeping room itself, or make the one present more soundproof. It’s really loud at night once everyone is coming back from party:) No that I have something against partying, in fact just opposite, but not everyone wants to hear noises in the middle of the night.

Positiv:: Chose a premium room on the top floor which was very spacious with extra facilities I wasn't expecting such as a kettle and a fridge. Hotel location is just a short walk from Palmanova beachfront but away from the bustle and the noise.

Negativ:: The inevitable noise from other guests returning to their rooms late at night (it's difficult to be quiet on a tiled corridor). Away from the hotel the 104 bus into Palma was unreliable and always 'standing room only' by the time it reached the stop the stop near the hotel.

Negativ:: Der Innenpool war machbar, aber doch sehr kalt. Wir waren in den Oktoberferien da, er hätte doch etwas geheizt werden können. Der Außenpool war eisekalt. Im Restaurant wurde nur wenig von der Speisekarte angeboten, da Saisonende war.

Aber das billigste vom billigsten und absolut ungenießbar! - Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Also so dass man Gespräche im zimmerlautstärke hört. - Essbereich hat null Atmosphäre. Eine mit Tischen voll gestopfte Halle und sehr laut. Mit gemütlich essen hat das nix zu tun. - Barbereich ist lieblos gemacht. Auf der eine Seite ist die Show Bühne davor der Sitzbreich mit einfacher Ausstattung von Tischen und Stühlen und dann die bar. "Gemütlich einen Drink an der Bar nehmen" kommt einem bei der Bar nicht in den Sinn. - Poolbereich ist auch voll gestopft mit Liegen, Tischen und Stühlen. - Die Balkone sind zwar schön groß, haben aber ungemütliche kleine Plastikmöbel

Positiv:: Wir haben 4 Tage im Hotel verbracht. Die Unterkunft war hervorragend ausgestattet, sowohl vom Personal als auch von den Räumlichkeiten her. Die Auswahl beim Essen war riesig und alles war ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer waren wie der Balkon sehr geräumig mit reichlich Platz zum Wohlfühlen. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit und beherrschte perfekt Englisch und teilweise sogar Deutsch.

Negativ:: Das Abendprogramm war in unserem Reisezeitraum nicht das "Highlight" und war eher auf ältere Urlaubsgäste ausgelegt. Davon abgesehen gab es aber keinerlei Anlass für Beschwerde.

Positiv:: The beds and pillows were amazing! Best sleep I have had in a long time. The food was out of this world. You could have literally anything you wanted for breakfast and everything was so fresh which I loved. Even the orange juice was freshly squeezed. Positiv:: Absolutely fabulous place which we will return to. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and got a comfortable, modern and clean room with a stunning sea views. Room had a good a/c, excellent wi- fi, fridge with cold water daily, coffee machine, kettle for tea, hair dryer, safe, bathrobes and slippers, plenty of toiletries and fresh towels daily, balcony with table and chairs. Very quiet and peaceful. Incredible breakfast every morning with a wide variety of fresh food. Gorgeous pool with many sunbeds, tasty cocktails and warm and friendly staff. The Skybar has the views to die for, a pool on the roof and great drinks/ snacks service. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Positiv:: Die Lage (inkl. Aussicht vom Zimmer), die Sauberkeit, das Personal, wie auch die Suite waren hervorragend! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenso überwältigend. Es lohnt sich genügend Zeit dafür einzuplanen.

Positiv:: The hotel was amazing, the food, the staff & the facilities, especially the sky bar with infinity pool. Couldn’t fault it. We were b&b only but there were free snacks & flowing cava until early evening every day. The beach was across the road along with bars & restaurants

Positiv:: The location is perfect, food is typical AI but nice. Rooms are small but clean.

Negativ:: Staff were miserable in the snack bar, rude to children and adults. However staff at the bar and entertainment were lovely.

Positiv:: Room was clean great location the staff always said hello there was alot to do if you had kids brilliant for that the entertainment staff did not stop all day

Negativ:: The food was awful it was over crowded for the size of the hotel not enough space . Dont understand why it said no reserving beds but people still did dont get it !!! The pool isn't going anywhere ...

Positiv:: Second day onwards it was a lot better after day ones fiasco

Negativ:: First day check was a shambles, we had no room availability and had to wait for a further three hours before room became available, which was only for one night, the room we were given we had to vacate at 10am the next day so lived out of a suitcase for first two days, which was a total shambles, photos are from the balcony on first day of Holiday, with droning air con, you must keep your room on as late check out facilities are a disgrace

Negativ:: Personal unprofessionell und sehr unfreundlich. Man hätte insgesamt das Gefühl als ungebetener Gast vorhanden zu sein. Betten waren schlecht (zu kurz-bei 1,75 m Körpergröße-und instabil).
