The size of the apartment was perfect, large enough for 3. Not many activities available as they only run on certain days.... which is ok if you have two weeks however if you only have 4-5 days it limits what you can see and do without a car. This is not the hotels fault is is the organised tours with which they work.

The fact that you have to go into town to buy dishwashing detergent and sponge - a containted apartment with complete cooking facility and dishware should as a basic standard come with products in order to clean these utensils. Simply ridiculous! On top of you are not told of this until you find out the hard way - with dirty dishes in the sink.

The staff were so helpful and accomodating, always pleasant to deal with. The hotel was right on the beach and close enough to Praia Do Rocha to avail of the local amenities, but far enough away that you didn't feel like you were slap bang in the middle of a high rise resort.

The hotel was very dated, the reception/rooms/restaurant could all do with some redecoration, but I fear that that would come at the expense of the customer as with all these things! So maybe it's best to leave it as it is, a reasonably priced family hotel with a great location and lovely staff.
