Positiv:: Great hostel with friendly staff. Great location, close to public transport. Clean and modern facilities.

Positiv:: High standard hostel, great area, everything is close, always clean, open kitchen so you can cook whenever you want, air conditioning working, cosy common area.

Negativ:: The only thing - it was hard to charge your phone on top bed, sockets were at the same hight as the mattress of the bed, so it was difficult to put the charger in.

Positiv:: Cleanliness, staff , beds and the rooms are very spacious. Free use of Jacuzzi is a bonus

Negativ:: The only problem I had was the temperature in the rooms . It was set to 26 and bit too warm for me .

Positiv:: Everything! It was better than I expected. Everything was so clean and modern, from the entry to the room to the bathroom and kitchen areas everything was very clean and well looked after. The staff we very helpful and the location could not have been more perfect! I highly recommend this place. Value for money for sure

Positiv:: Zu diesem Hostel kann man eigentlich nur Positives sagen. Dieses Hostel ist super Modern und entspricht absolut dem was auf dem Bildern gezeigt wird. Die Rezeptionsdamen wechseln sich ab. Alle sind mega lieb, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde jeden Tag überall geputzt. Die Küche war der wahnsinn. Alles sehr gepflegt. Bäder sind mega sauber und sehr groß. Ich hatte für eine Nacht in diesem Hostel gebucht und dann war ich in Valetta in einem anderen was einfach schrecklich war. Deshalb habe ich sofort noch paar Nächte in diesem Hostel gebucht. Die Betten sind mega komfortabel, es gibt für jedes Stockbett 2 große Fäche, in dem man seine Tasche/Rucksack/Koffer und Wertsachen zusperren kann. Wer kein Schloss hat, der kann sich für 4 € eins an der Rezeption kaufen. Ein absolutes Highlite --> Dieses Hostel hat eine Sauna und Whirlpool. Also wahnsinn! In der Küche kann jeder sein Essen via Klebeband und Stift markieren! Es haben sich Gruppen gebildet, die gemeinsam gekocht haben. In diesem Hostel lernt man schnell jemanden kennen. Auch ich hatte das Glück! Es ist wirklich Zentral in Sliema. Paar wenige Gehminuten zum Supermarkt, zu den Bussen, zur Fähre zu der Shoppingmal. Innerhalb 10 Min. kann man Sliema überqueren und ist auf der anderen Seite. In der Nähe sind ganz viele Restaurant (Tiffany Bistro, viele Italienische Restaurants etc. alle wunderbar) Damen am Empfang können immer Helfen und auch Restaurant empfehlen. Zimmer werden via Karte entsperrt. Also hat man doch seine "Privatsphäre" obwohl man sich das Zimmer teilt. Ich bin begeistert und sollte ich Malta wieder besuchen, würde ich null komma nichts zögern und sofort wieder buchen! Thanks a lot for the Nice Holyday.

Positiv:: Great place to stay! Clean rooms, helpful stuff, great localization and good price for value. I enjoyed the beautiful paintings on the walls, jazz music always playing in the kitchen , great patio and very well equipped kitchen.

Positiv:: Friendly staff, great location and a nice large room!

Negativ:: It was expensive compared to other options in Malta. Water wasn't provided.

Positiv:: Fantastic stay - cannot fault anything about this hostel it was 10/10. Room was spacious and clean, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern! Great location close to bus stops and restaurants and very safe. Highly recommend

Positiv:: I was only here for an overnight before going to the airport very early in the morning. The front desk staff organized my taxi for me, and it all went smoothly. I did not try the breakfast. Communication before arrival was great.

Negativ:: Unfortunately, it was a national holiday, and there was a parade and fireworks that were set off from a neighbouring roof. The location is great, but also a downside on holidays! Also, the fact that check-in is only until 9 was a little inconvenient, however, it was well identified by communication with the hostel beforehand.

Positiv:: This is a fantastic standard of hostel - spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds with immaculate linens (I stayed in the "basic" 6 bed dorm). I didn't use the kitchen save for a few cups of tea but it's well appointed and lots of space. Spa facilities are great and were perfect for me one evening when the weather let us down, really relaxing. The staff are so friendly and helpful: made lots of great recommendations for my stay in Malta and was an easy to find location in Sliema. Very near to the Valletta ferry, buses and a short walk from my Dive school. I had a very positive stay here, cannot recommend enough :)

Negativ:: Only one problem, very minor: there was a frosted window above the door to my dorm and when the lights were on outside it kept me awake sometimes. Some dark paper over the window would be a huge help. I went and turned the lights off easily enough though. But seriously, that's me being picky. This is a fab hostel!!

Positiv:: Am Besten war das Hoteleigene Restaurant The Penny Black. Dort haben wir 3mal gegessen. Der Service hier von Mitarbeiter Martin hat uns besonders gefallen. Er ist stets auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber wie auch das ganze Hotel. Der Shuttleservice zum Flughafen (Hin und Zurück) machte den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer.

Positiv:: Staff and facilities were fantastic. Especially liked the infinity pool on th roof. Rooms were very well looked after the cleaning staff very good. Food excelent.

Negativ:: Not much

Positiv:: A beautiful hotel with first class amenities; spacious elegantly decorated rooms, large rooftop pool area as well as serene indoor pool, great restaurants, bars and delicious breakfast choices. The outstanding feature of this hotel however is the staff. The reception, shop and restaurant staff are always friendly, warm and are always very happy to help in any way possible. Charles, the hotel Manager is the nicest, warmest and most attentive person we have ever met during our 30 years of travel. He takes time to say hello to everyone he sees, he takes a personal interest in all guests and goes above and beyond to help and make your stay perfect. My husband turned 60 during our visit. Charles rang our suite to wish him happy birthday and when his birthday cake arrived, it was accompanied by a bottle of wine and card from Charles. Just outstanding!

Positiv:: Really friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is beautifully made, it has a bar, a restaurant and a pool with a lounge. It is in a really quiet part of town, but it is really easy to get out and about, the coastline is at hands reach with ca. 800 meters to go by foot. Supermarket nearby. The room is okay, it could do with a little makeover, but what nice is, that it has a classic feeling without being tacky. Safe, toiletries, A/C, fridge and TV with a lot of channels provided. Breakfast with a variety of food, changing variety of desserts, coffee could be a little better. Pool lounge has a 360° view of the city and the sea. The pool in itself is plenty big. Food in the lounge area is simple, but freshly made and good. Variety of drinks and ice cream available. The bar downstairs offers local and worldwide available beers, has nice a atmosphere to it and the snacks were really good. After checking out we had an option to store our luggage, so we could check out the city even more. We didn’t use it, but there’s a big underground car park available.

Negativ:: Like mentioned beforehand, the room could use a little makeover, a few older marks here and there on the walls and on the floor tiles in the bathroom.

Positiv:: The breakfast was good. The location was excellent for getting about.

Positiv:: Ein feines Stadthotel in wirklich guter Lage. Äußerst freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Allabendlicher Themenspeiseplan. Ein Highlight ist der Pool und die Liegen auf dem Hoteldach.

Positiv:: Nice hotel which is conveniently located near to the beach front. Breakfast was very good and offered a good variety. The pool was never too busy and towels provided. Staff were always very pleasant from reception to the ladies cleaning the room.

Negativ:: The drinks at the pool bar were far too expensive which is a shame really as it encouraged us to drink our own around the pool. Umbrellas around the pool may have been better than the fixed covers as it was very hot and There was little shade available. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was terrible! The staff couldn’t even explain what different food ingredients were from the menu.

Negativ:: Frühstück war immer genau das selbe. Könnte einwenig mehr Abwechslung sein wie z.B. mal anderen Aufschnitt, andere Früchte etc.

Positiv:: First class service from everyone at the AX Victoria who looked after every aspect of our stay even your tickets and a last minute airport transfer request was no problem to this team

Positiv:: Super gym facility. Large nice rooms. Very hospitable service personnel. Very good food. Salisbury Arms!

Negativ:: Very humid rooms, but it is very humid time of year. The cleaning lady tried to clean our room at 8:30, which is a little early.

Positiv:: Fitness room was well equipped, we liked the rooftop pool, although it was a bit on the small side, front desk staff was very responsive, indoor pool, sauna

Negativ:: Room was not clean (hairs on the bed), dust, location was not great (long walk to ferry and restaurants), bath tub was aged, hairdryer had no power; mini bar dirty and empty, smelly (toilet), old corridor carpets

Positiv:: We stayed in a duplex suite which was very comfortable and spacious. The beds were particularly comfortable and the air-conditioning was a great relief from the stifling heat. The English breakfasts were excellent and a good selection of teas and coffees were available. The hotel manager was a lovely lady who was very courteous in resolving one or two issues we had with stay and suitably compensated us for our inconveniences. Despite these issues (I’m sure this was a one-off blip) and I would certainly recommend this hotel to couples or travelling friends.

Negativ:: As previously mentioned, we had one or two ‘hiccups’ with our room. After checking in we realised that we couldn’t access our safe as we weren’t given a key and we couldn’t make a cup of tea as we weren’t given an adaptor for the plug. (British sockets with European plugs was a bit odd). We had a couple of leaks from the shower which flooded out in to the lounge area too, however, these issues were dealt with efficiently and we were suitably compensated by the manager. Facilities wise it was pretty good, however, complementary water in the rooms would have been good (a dispenser is available in reception) and a full length mirror in the large walk-in wardrobe would be beneficial.

Positiv:: The location was great, on a quiet street but easy walk to both Sliema and St Julian's. Close to ferry port to Valletta and bus stops to take you anywhere in Malta. We chose to go out to breakfast prefering a coffee and pastry only. The UC cafe located just beside the police station, 5 minutes walk was a great choice, good coffee filled croissants and fresh orange juice.

Positiv:: Excellent location, down a quiet side street but walking distance to bus stop, boat to Valletta and Sliema.

Negativ:: It had a fantastic outdoor courtyard pool, brilliant for cooling of in the late afternoon when the sun was on it.

Positiv:: Full sized croissants at breakfast! I think that sums it up, but in case it doesn't: Palazzo Violetta was wonderful - our only regret is we couldn't stay longer. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was incredible. I genuinely don't know if I've ever slept on such a comfortable mattress on holiday! It was easy to get to Valletta, where we spent the majority of our time. 10/10.

Positiv:: Sehr gute Lage. Es ist gar nicht so laut wie in anderen Kommentaren beschrieben. Zumindest nicht im 3. Stock! Frühstück ist sehr gut! Das English breakfast umbedingt dazu nehmen. Saubere Zimmer und sauberes Bad. Alles vorhanden. Handtücher für Pool an der Rezeption erhältlich Hotel ist absolut weiterzuempfehlen.

Negativ:: Wenn man die ganze Nacht die Klimaanlage eingeschaltet haben möchte, sollte man das davor an der Rezeption sagen. Das moderne Klimaanlagegerät schaltet sich sonst mitten in der Nacht aus. Auch beim öffnen des Fensters oder öffnen der Türe ist die Klima automatisch aus. Wenn man das weiß ist alles super!

Positiv:: The hotel was great, we had a lovely room and it met all our needs. The main thing that stood out for us were the fantastic staff - so kind and helpful after we had a few mishaps with our trip, we were so grateful!

Positiv:: The location was good, easy to acces to different areas. It is near the ferries and bus station.

Negativ:: Unfortunately the customer service from the manager of the hotel was poor. We found cockroaches since the first day of our arrival. We complained to the guy on the reception and he was able to undersatnd our concerns with this matter and offer us to spray the room. However this didn´t solve the problem with the cockroaches as we had more in the following days. When we complained about this to the manager of the hotel, she didn´t understand our concers and in the other hand she was in a defensive position. I can understand that the island has problems with cockroaches however for the price of the hotel this issue could be solved in a different way.

Positiv:: Frühstück war sehr lecker, vor allem das Obst (Melonen, Orangen, Pflaumen etc.) sehr gute Auswahl. Die Semmeln hätten knuspriger sein können und wie es leider in den meisten südlichen Ländern ist, hat es überwiegend Weizensemmeln gegeben. Ansonsten noch eine super Auswahl an Gebäck, Rührei, Spiegelei, süß und herzhaft, alles was man sich wünscht, top! Zimmer waren sauber und bequeme Betten, Badezimmer auch okay, einmal waren zu wenig Handtücher da, wurden sofort welche ins Zimmer gebracht.

Negativ:: Der Aufzug braucht sehr lange, fährt oft andere Stockwerke an, das System haben wir nicht ganz verstanden wo und warum der Aufzug hält, mit den Treppen ist man auf jeden Fall schneller.

Positiv:: The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was always fresh and had a great selection, as did the buffet which we tried one evening. The bar area is relaxed and a great place to have a drink. The rooftop terrace was a brilliant place for views and to relax after a day out.

Positiv:: Entire hotel was very clean at all times. Staff were extremely helpful in all aspects of check in, destination advice and booking transport. Wide selection of hot and cold food at breakfast. Great view from balcony.

Negativ:: Work being done meant only one lift in operation which meant waiting a bit longer at peak times, this didnt really impact our stay though.

Positiv:: Schöne Lage im Hafen von Sliema. Fast direkt vor dem Hotel befinden sich zwei Bushaltestellen, bei denen die wichtigsten Buslinien für Ausflüge vertreten sind. Komfortables Zimmer mit schönem Ausblick auf den Hafen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Negativ:: Das Frühstück war zwar breit gefächert, jedoch geschmacklich nicht gerade gut.

Negativ:: The room backed onto a rest room for staff from hospital that was located next door. Unfortunately the noise from the staff talking was quite loud and started very early in the morning. Consequently we were woken up every morning sometimes as early as 5:30 am if it wasn’t for this disturbance I would have no hesitation in strongly recommending this hotel

Negativ:: Wir hatten ursprünglich ein Zimmer im Palazzo. Da es aber leider sehr dunkel war und man die schweren Vorhänge nicht öffnen konnte, haben wir das Zimmer getauscht.

Positiv:: The room and service were fine.

Negativ:: We were very disappointed that the Palace was closed. This was our fourth visit to you, and we have always appreciated the variety of facilities - especially the Temptasian and Talk of the Town. Had we known that the Palace was closed we would have come at another time.

Positiv:: The ambiance and the cleaning of the room.

Negativ:: The food was fairly good . We expected a better dinner / breakfast for a 4 star hotel,.

Positiv:: Unterkunft war zwar schon ein wenig "älter" als gedacht, aber das Personal hat einen freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Eindruck hinterlassen. Da zunächst nur 4 deutsche Trashsender der RTL-Gruppe empfangbar waren, haben wir das Thema an der Rezeption angesprochen. Innerhalb von 30 Min. hat man dann auch die vernünftigen Sender (ARD,ZDF,Arte,3Sat etc.) empfangen können.

Positiv:: the staff was great and the location very nice

Negativ:: The hotel is very nice, but for a suite in a so magnificent old location, I would have expected something more, more character more linked to his past. Not enough space to put clothes in the room, and the bathtub is too old style.

Positiv:: The room (Suite Prince Francesco) at the Capua Palace was very spacious and nicely decorated. The large terrace is an added bonus. The amenities including the outdoor pool and SPA at The Palace (sister hotel) are modern and nice as well.

Negativ:: The buffet food is budget hotel standard so I wouldn't opt for HB next time. The bed and pillows were very soft but I understand that this depends on personal preferences. The aircondition unit in the room was quite noisy especially at night. The indoor pool was cold but nonetheless clean and the area is nice.

Negativ:: Location is not convenient--not on a public transport line. Difficult uphill walk to get back to hotel from commerical district. The AX Palazzo Capua is apparently an annex of The Victoria hotel. Had to go outside to get to main hotel facilities--even simple things like getting ice. Elevator was not working in our building. Had to carry suitcases up a flight of 34 steps to get to our room. (A young lady from the hotel was not strong enough to do it. Room is beautiful, but not practical--maybe even dangerous in terms of risk of falling is trying to get from the bed to the bathroom in the middle of the night (unmarked floor level change & poor lighting.) Ancient refrigerator. Few English language televisions stations.

Positiv:: The hotel was really nice and clean. We stayed 2 nights at the Selma suite and the room was big enough with a bedroom upstairs and a living room downstairs with 2 TVs and 2 Acs. One of the Ac's wasn't cooling enough and there are no ceiling fans so it was a bit hot at night but that didn't affect our stay since the other Ac was working very well. There's also a small balcony with outdoor furniture. The staff was really nice and very helpful even the waiters at both b'fast and dinner. The only downside from our part is that we only stayed 2 nights! I highly recommend this hotel.

Negativ:: The only thing I did not like from the buffet was the bread but overall the food was good even the cakes were delicious.

Positiv:: That the staff were so friendly, helpful and even organised an airport pick-up for me. In general, it was pretty clean and they accepted my unforeseen last minute booking so I was pretty grateful!

Negativ:: That I had to change rooms from a clean one to a room with dirty people who made no room for me, though this was not the staff's fault, more like the people in the room. Showers could use a bit of an update and a few more hooks in the room for drying towels would be nice. The place could invest in a WiFi extender for upstairs bedrooms.

Positiv:: Fully equipped guest kitchen Helpful staff - tried their best to accommodate guests’ need The hostel is big - spacious room, common area and kitchen. Very comfortable overall. Good location, just 3-mins away from bus station, beach and promenade.

Negativ:: No AC, the room is hot at night with only one fan. No wifi in the room I was asked to change room last-minute without prior notice. No 24-hr reception, staff leaves at 11pm so you need to pick up luggage/ check-in before that time.

Positiv:: Friendliness of staff and they gave lots of information of what available and how to use things.

Negativ:: Small shower, no WiFi in the bedrooms

Positiv:: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostel in general was nice and the location was perfect. Everything was easily reachable.

Negativ:: Some parts of the hostel could have been a bit cleaner. The bathroom had no windows and water was often on the floorand didn't dry well. In the mixed room there were only two plugs but 4 people trying to charge their phones. Some of the lockers were broken and there were not enough possibilities to put towels etc to dry.

Positiv:: The best thing about this hostel is its location, near the sea. There are also direct buses from the bus stop near hostel for many cities. In general, the staff was polite and room are cleaned every day.

Negativ:: I really advise the owner to install air conditioners in the rooms. 1 ventilator in the room is not enough. In such hot weather if you have a bed on the second floor, it is almost impossible to sleep, then the internet can be also provided to rooms as it requires only 2 or 3 more modems to be installed on each floor. The 2 modems on the first floor work good, they also cover the stairs. It was not convenient to go every time to the first floor to have internet connection. P.S it will be good if in first aid kit you will have also termomither. People can experience acclimatisation so it is easy to get ill.

Positiv:: Der Ausblick vom Balkon, Dach! Der Pool am Dach klein aber fein! Gleich gute Restaurants vor der Tür sowie die Bushaltestelle!

Negativ:: Bei den Duschen war kein Druck, manchmal ist nur glühend heißes Wasser gekommen wenn man auf kaltes Wasser gedreht hat ist dann kein Wasser gekommen! Man hat auch alles gehört was auf der Straße passierte sowie im Hotel durchschlafen war unmöglich!

Positiv:: Die Aussicht beim Frühstück war sehr schön. Uns wurde auch das Taxi vom Flughafen und zurück organisiert, was wir als angenehm und zuvorkommend empfanden.

Negativ:: Man hört den Verkehr und anderes, das auf der Strasse passiert, sehr gut, was etwas störend war.

Positiv:: The location is great and with the bus stop close by makes traveling around easy. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Negativ:: No fridge in the room. Just a small one to be able to keep some bottles of water cold overnight would have been handy. The wall and corner above the shower needed a scrub.

Positiv:: The location. Good for young people who are looking for having fun.

Negativ:: It was noisy, and I'm not talking about the trafic, it was about the clients. The rooms are small and the shower was clogged. The smell from the restaurants nearby was yummy but to much.

Positiv:: The location is ideal. It is opposite the waterfront, a 20 minute walk to the ferry terminal and maybe a ten minute walk to lively St Julian’s. At night fireworks can be seen from the rooftop

Positiv:: Super friendly and helpful staff. There was some technical issue and I thought hotel confirmed gluten-free breatfast for me. Since I paid for breakfast, manager offered that I buy a few things that is ok for me and hotel paid for it. Location is probably one of the best in the whole area. Rooms cleaned well every day, comfortable bed, breakfast almost same every day, but good variety for 3-star hotel. Would stay here again.

Positiv:: Great location within 20 minutes walk from San Julian; the roof terrace with pool is great for aperitivo and a little dinner with a view. The staff is kind and friendly.

Negativ:: Room 42 had a bad smell on the shower curtains. Water usually ended up on the floor. Can hear a lot of noise outside the rooms. Poor tv Chanel choice and reception. Lift very small and slow.

Positiv:: The breakfast was decent. Eggs bacon and sausage were a bonus. The location was ok, although was disappointed with the price range given the facilities were poorly maintained.

Negativ:: So much to say about this place. The bathroom was disgusting! The bathroom curtain had mold, dirt and mildew. The bathtub was stained. The toilet plumbing was exposed and dirty. The water in the sink flooded. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have stayed in. When you sat or laid on the bed, the springs were totally flat. The Property lost power for 2 days during our stay. It was hot August with no air conditioner, no electricity and no internet! When we tried to speak with the manager, we were told he would be in the next morning as well as the power and internet. The next morning, no manager to be found, no power nor internet. We were not able to get any rest because it was so hot in the room. The reception desk said we could e-mail manager since he wasn't available to speak. Upon our arrival back home we e-mail the manager...no response at all. We would have liked at least some partial reimbursement, free breakfast, or at least some type of acknowledgment. Definitively will not be coming back to this hotel. Not recommended.

Positiv:: Having Shops, Bars & Restaurants in close proximity. Front desk staff polite.

Negativ:: PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU ARE THINKING OF STAYING HERE. I will be totally honest, having an open mind on everything we experienced in the week we stayed there. We arrived around 3am and could not sleep, we booked and paid extra for a sea view room, not realising we would have the whole of Malta on our doorstep day and night. It was impossible to sit out on the balcony to enjoy a drink or two as we could not hear each other. Sunday we went to breakfast to be confronted with a Cockroach that was at least 3" long-running under the tables where the food was, I pointed it out to a waitress who shooed it away with a broom. Breakfast was fair, we managed to eat something every morning, depending on what time you went down to breakfast as one morning they had run out of bread. Monday morning at 7am we had to vacate the hotel as the fire alarm had gone off, there was smoke rising from the ground floor, the gentleman on reception asked us not to panic as there was no fire, however, there were extension lead plugged into extension lead, plugged into extension lead with electronic items plugged into them. We were advised to walk 500yards to another hotel for breakfast, normally that would not be an issue, unfortunately I could not walk far as I had a broken knee cap, they offered no other alternative, the next morning we were able to go back into the breakfast room, there were 4 young girls who worked in the breakfast room, we had to keep asking them to move so we could get to the coffee machine. The Hotel is in desperate need of a lick of paint, even so, we are quite open-minded and did not find it was an issue, don't get me wrong it would have been nice if there was no mildew around the bath or the walls did not look grey and dirty. The hair dryer was not near the mirror.

Positiv:: Gut gelegen. Nähe zu Strand und Lokale.

Negativ:: Der Strassenlärm war zu erwarten, da Mitten in der Stadt, aber wenn der Hotel-Angestellte vor unserem Fenster (waren im ersten Stock) um 2 Uhr in der Früh (24-Std. Rezeption) lautstark schreit bzw. diskutiert ist das ärgerlich, wenn man um 4:30 mit dem Taxi zum Flughafen fahren muss. Auch sonst merkt man den Unterschied,dass es kein familiäres B&B ist. Die Angestellten machen ihren Job, aber nicht besonders interessiert oder freundlich.

Positiv:: The coffee was the only thing nice

Negativ:: Woken by fire alarm. No proper fire drill. Out on the streets waiting with only passports in our hands. Not told what was happening. After 45 mins went back to room with yet no information. Electricity gone. No lifts(on 6th floor)no internet. Left hotel for the day.arrived back that evening.electricty back.went to room plugged in phone charger. Got a shock off my phone. Stupidly tried it again. The same. Reported it. Told to stay from socket. Then turned the tv. No power going to it. Reported it. Got that sorted Thursday. On the Tuesday electricity gone all day . No lifts or internet again. . Just totally annoyed at this stage. Spoke to manager after making request to see him. Offered us free breakfast for 3 mornings. An insult. The shower was a hose with a shower head on it attached to taps. (Awful)we used one two floors up that was there for people using the roof top sun loungers. . It was good. Silicone around the bath was filthy(I took a video )overall an awful time.

Positiv:: Famous location, room was configured as to our request at time of booking.

Negativ:: Air con did not work for 3 days, tea and coffee not refreshed. Power cut, poor emergency lighting.

Positiv:: Due to the issues and inconveniences we had, the manager kindly offered us free breakfast. And staff were generally very nice and tried to do their best in the situation. I genuinely appreciated the efforts and could tell they were trying to be very helpful.

Negativ:: On the first day we were told to return an hour after our initial check in time - this was because they had an electrical problem. Upon our return we were told the room still wasn't ready and that we would have to wait another two hours. By this point we were very tired and needed to rest so we insisted we too were given another hotel like the other customers infront of us had been. We were then put up at a lovely hotel which was cannot fault but were to return to Sliema Chalet the next day. Our room had a mosquito in it and i suffered four bites. Two of which are still bothering me, long after I have returned home. Due to the fact on the first day I wasnt put up in a room at my check in time - I requested whether we could have an extra hour to check out. This was agreed but I was dismayed when two minutes before the new agreed check out time, someone literally knocked on my door to tell me to leave. Never in my years of travelling or staying in hotels across the world have I experienced this and I found it extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. With these reasons in mind, I would not recommend Sliema Chalet or stay there in the future.

Positiv:: Very well location on waterfront but only to whom pay the extra, otherwise the view is horrible.

Negativ:: Very tight room for 4 persons and bathroom without minimum standard conditions.

Positiv:: Sehr zentral und direkt am Meer aber um nach Valetta zu kommen muss man natürlich eine Schiffsverbindung nehmen oder mit dem Taxi fahren was viel teurer ist.

Negativ:: Direkt an der Hauptstraße ein Meerblick Zimmer lohnt sich daher eigentlich nicht.

Positiv:: The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to everything

Positiv:: Nice location. The convenience store is just in 2 min. The bed is quite comfortable. EU power socket.

Negativ:: The pillow was too big for me. I was in a wrong time, it was the local fest outside so I can't sleep till the 1AM.

Positiv:: The staff was super friendly.

Negativ:: No aircon, it was quite hot and also a bit noisy outside.

Positiv:: I really liked the location of the Hostel, the hospitality and that breakfast was included in the price.

Negativ:: The dorms need more fans, some nights were unbearable because of the heat. I also thought about the terrace's great potential, you should definitely think about making it a more cozy space to hang out - for example invest in other tables and chairs (maybe a sofa?), protection for the sun, flowers etc. As I said, the terrace has great potential!

Negativ:: Das Frühstück ist meiner Meinung nach nicht ernst zu nehmen. Es ist sehr laut, da es nur Altbautüren gibt und diese sich nicht leise schließen lassen. Ablagebretter im Bad fehlen, man weiß nicht wo man seine Sachen ablegen soll, da der Boden von Nutzern davor meistens nass war. Dadurch gab es einen Stromausfall im Zimmer und kein Warmwasser für 1,5 Tage.

Positiv:: Hostel is similar to the pictures. Well located. Good bed.

Negativ:: It was way too hot in the dorm, 2 fans for a 8 persons dormitory is definitely not enough. Common area is neutral, not somewhere you would like to spend time.

Positiv:: Hotel consists of two buildings, Plaza and Regency. We stayed on Regency side. Breakfast ok, staff good and supportive. Location very good. Bus stop outside of first floor restaurant and beach with easy access to swim just opposite of hotel. Lot of restaurants nearby and within short walk also good shopping opportunities available. Room 621 had fantastic sea view with nice balcony. Bed was comfy and room quiet, clean & spacious. Minifridge on room to keep your drinks cool. Pool on roof was clean and there was enough sunbeds to enjoy and relax. There was also pool bar available.

Negativ:: Very bad coffee on breakfast, also more fresh fruits & veggies needed We could not have late check out since hotel was fully booked (this was ok and we were informed good time ahead) but there was no shower available in Regency side, you need to go to Plaza for that. We pre-ordered taxi (23 eur) to airport but it never showed up because morning receptionist forgot to do it. But this was fixed by other receptionist within few minutes and we paid 10 eur less than expected.

Positiv:: The location was excellent and the sea view from my balcony was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable and it was a nice touch to have a European socket installed at the desk. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was also nice to have a kettle and instant coffee/tea in the room. Very close to the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants.

Negativ:: The bathroom had a strong sewage smell and no shelf or cupboard space to store toiletries. The balcony was tiny and it was above a busy street, so gave limited pleasure in sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the bay.

Positiv:: Nettes Personal. Hier ein besondere Dank an Mr. David, der sehr gute Tipps und Vorschläge for touristen hatte.

Negativ:: Italenischer Restaurant nebendran mit starkem Kuchen-Geruch! Frühstück ist einfach.

Positiv:: - Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war neu. - Obwohl unser Zimmer direkt zur Straße raus ging, war es bei geschlossener Balkontür leise. - Das Bett war groß und bequem, auch die Dusche war gut. - An der Hotelbar auf dem Dach waren die Preise sehr niedrig. - Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr nett und hat uns immer sofort weitergeholfen. - Es gibt mehrere Bushaltestellen in der Nähe, eine direkt vor der Tür. - Die Lage war sehr zentral. Supermarkt, Fähre, Bus, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants etc. alles fußläufig zu erreichen.

Negativ:: - Unser Zimmer war sehr klein, für 2 Koffer war eigentlich nicht genug Platz. - Die Klimaanlage ging immer nach ca. einer halben Stunde von selbst aus. - Im Bad gibt es keine Ablagemöglichkeiten. - Das Frühstück war nicht wirklich besonders. Das Personal dort räumt die Teller ab, wenn man noch kaut. Der Raum war generell nicht wirklich sauber. Einmal während wir gefrühstückt haben, hat ein Mitarbeiter die Deckenplatten angehoben und es kam unendlich viel Wasser runter. Dieses wurde zwar in Eimern aufgefangen, kann man aber trotzdem nicht machen, während die Gäste noch beim Frühstücken sind.

Negativ:: There is nothing to complain about. Good quality for its price. Only suggestion from my side would be maybe add more options for gluten free breakfast. Also the pool in hotel is quite small and crowded

The curtains are a bit short so we would wake up early with all the light Half of the staff wasn’t really friendly or aware of things to recommend around the hotel. The pool area is a bit run down.

Positiv:: The hotel staff were relatively friendly. The location was good for all the main attractions, bars restaurants, ferries, tour buses etc...

Negativ:: The breakfast, the bathrooms, there is no pool, towels and blankets did not smell clean and no tea and coffee in bedroom. The lift feels unsafe and needs to be modernised. There is only one iron in the hotel and no ironing board.

Positiv:: Transport arrangements from airport to hotel all made effortlessly by the hotel. It was clean. The room was functional and large. Breakfast hit the spot. Great views acre the harbour

Negativ:: Quieter AC would be good. Nil else. Nil else

Positiv:: Fantastic view across the harbour and the location is very central so easy to access buses, ferries and shops. Most of the staff were friendly especially Diana who was always smiling and helpful. Night porter who checked me out on my last morning could do with taking lessons from her. To say he was unfriendly is an understatement..and my last memory of the Sliema Hotel is his grumpy face!

Negativ:: A broken balcony safety bar which impacted on my being able to enjoy the balcony safely. I did inform a staff member who said it would be fixed but that never happened. I booked a double bed but was given 2 singles pushed together. One of the mattresses was in a terrible state, completely split all down one side. There were no mattress toppers just a plain flat sheet straight onto a grubby very thin tatty mattress. Not a comfortable nights sleep. The bathroom was mostly clean but there was a big water stain running the whole of the ceiling, the tap was missing a level to activate shower just an exposed rusty screw, and the shower curtain was tatty and old with missing hooks. Breakfast was poor ...lots to choose from if continental is your thing but the cooked food was overcooked and poor quality. Much nicer to be had in restaurants nearby .No fridge or tea / coffee facilities in the room, for the price I paid €622 for 5 nights i would expect both as a standard.

Negativ:: I booked a room with sea view but upon arrival it was no longer available. Cracked glass in the balcony door, dirty ceiling and coverlet. Dated furniture. Overall disgusting impression. The advertised photos are somewhat fair but probably showing their best. If you don't pay attention to details you may end up misled.

Positiv:: Very helpful and welcoming staff, especially at the restaurant. We also enjoyed the fresh food at breakfast and dinner and the Maltese musician night at the restaurant, where three accordion players made our dinner special. The rooftop pool is small but very pleasant, with a nice view over the coastline.

Negativ:: It would've been better if there was water offered at dinner too not just breakfast, especially given that the dinner costs twice as much as the breakfast one.

Negativ:: -cleaning service very poor, -room need update long time ago(wasn't the same as on photo) -gym ...poor condition -air condition very laud (old) not possible to sleep . -Wi fi wasn't free because you have to sign and provide your personal data...which means it is not free, you pay with your personal data. I couldn't use it during one week holiday. Overall-price was far far to high for that what we received.

Positiv:: Die Lage ist gut, denn man kann den Hafen von Sliema in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen und es gibt eine große Auswahl von Restaurants in der Nähe.

Negativ:: Die Bilder im Internet zeigen nicht die Wirklichkeit. Das Gebäude ist alt und unser Zimmer war sehr muffig und feucht. Alle unsere Kleider wurden nass. Die Hälfte des Personals waren unfähig um uns in einige Sachen zu helfen. Der Frühstück war nicht umfangreich und nicht von der besten Qualität. Es ist auch nicht so umweltfreundlich, dass das Putzpersonal die Handtücher automatisch wechselt, auch wenn man danach nicht einmal gefragt hat. Wir haben uns ein Doppelbett gewünscht und haben zwei Einzelbetten zusammengeschoben bekommen, was nicht bequem war.

Positiv:: Location was brilliant. Staff were friendly and helpful in all aspects of check in / queries / check out. Very friendly pool bar staff, who even took requests for music being played around the pool area! Breakfast was nice and efficient also. Location is brilliant and very easy to go to Sliema center, St Julian's, all the boat excursions and also Valetta from the hotel area. Nice balcony & a fridge in the room which was a welcome surprise as I did not know they were in the room!

Negativ:: The hotel rooms, breakfast room & pool area needed a deep clean. A lot of built up grime around the pool. The breakfast room had torn chairs and marks on the walls. The cleaners on the daily clean of rooms did keep on top of the dirt and gave a good clean every day but there is a deep layer of dirt in the bathrooms. Shower area not the best. Bedsheets in the bed were not changed very often / if at all.

Positiv:: I like the location, very easy for take a ferries and a lot of restaurants
