You have to be athletic to eat from the tray table. Though only 5ft 8in, I had no knee room, -especially when the person in front lowered his seat. Airport terminals inconvenient: Frankfurt AM and Zurich were lacking in people movers which made getting from one gate to the next a severe pain. I am not looking forward to traveling through either of these airports in the future... though others are just as bad."

Negativ: "There were too many announcements, especially in the first few hours of the flight - constant interruptions, at one point the pilot came on and told us how much the plane weighed when we took off...... had to tell us in multiple languages, so it took a few minutes. Very cramped in economy class - I'm 5'6" - not so tall.... and when the seat in front of me reclined, it was touching my knees. For the whole 13+ hour flight it was ON my knees! It was uncomfortable and made it very hard to get in and out of my seat."

At airport HAJ I've heard that's usual that baggage can't arrive in one our! So I didn't understand why this flight was offered by KLM!"

Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Ich musste 3 Sitzplatzreservierungen bezahlen, 1 davon völlig unnötig. 3 - Gate Änderung von 92 auf 98 in Palma de Mallorca unmittelbar vor der Rückflug sodass ich fast mein Flug nach München verpasst habe. Den ganzen Stress und 2 extra Gebühren kann ich mir ersparen wenn ich mein Ticket direkt in der Reiseagentur kaufe."

Not even a glass of water available on a 7 hour flight, that's actually a health hazard, should be illegal. No coffee or tea. The window seat I paid up for was about 8 inches from the window, so I couldn't even lean my head there. No in-flight magazines, or handing out newspapers , no entertainment available, just sitting there uncomfortably for 7 hours while the attendants huddled behind drawn and velcro'ed curtains doing nothing. A true disgrace. Avoid Iberia and their LEVEL subsidiary like the plague. Unacceptable in every way....and at least Ryan Air and WOW are cheap, this flight was full price. Total rip-off, never again."

Für einen Business Flug zwischen zwei Kontinente finde ich das einfach nicht möglich, aber sonst war alles o. k."

Negativ: "I went jfk to mallorca through Madrid. Upon arrival to Madrid the passport control was 2hrs so we and a lot of other people missed connections. At the Iberia counter we were put on the next flight out to mallorca, that seemed to be no problem (FYI bags will be late and you may too since iBeria ‘must’ keep thee on time global record) , other than our bags came a day later. UPON arriving 20 days later for our return trip they said our return trip was cancelled because of a ‘no show’ on our original inbound trip. They said they had no proof we were on the next flight and asked for our Receipts to prove it. Said we had to buy new tickets, after 2 hrs, crying, yelling and most of Iberia telling us there was nothing they could do (told us to call BA since they were the co share for them) we finally got a high enough supervisor and they put us on the return flights. I’m sure we would have had to buy new tix if the flights were full. Have been overseas many times and this never happened. Will not use a 3rd party online ticket agency again- will go direct to airline, and not Iberia."

And for breakfast the only option was a ham and cheese sandwich, so I didn’t eat."

Negativ: "JFK-Madrid flight got delayed by 3 hours which would cause me to miss my connection for Madrid-Split (~2 hour layover), I asked the Iberia representatives at JFK about changing the flight and they reassured me that “the connecting flight would hold for us” and “no need to change our flight”. To our surprise the connecting flight already left when we arrived to Madrid. It’s clear that this was a case of “not our problem” from the JFK Iberia ticket agent. Rather than helping us find a viable alternative for our flight (namely a flight that doesn’t arrive more than a full day later) before leaving for Madrid they shipped us to Madrid where there were poor/no options for getting to Split at the original planned time. I’m very upset that I’m going arrive more than a day late to my destination and that I was blatantly lied to by the Iberia agent at JFK, never ever going to book a flight with Iberia again."

Die Besatzung halt normal für Italien arrogant, aber ehrlicherweise nicht alle. Der erste Eindruck war wirklich kompetent und nicht typisch italienisch kaotisch. Man darf Alitalia halt nicht mit der Lufthansa oder Air France vergleichen. Ich kenne es sogar mit British. Selbst da geben sie sich Mühe. Sei es auch in der Eco kulturbeutel, Glas Wasser nachsem Einstieg, sogar warme Erfrischungstücher in der Eco. Gerne hätte ich auch die Stimme des Piloten gehört, aber das ist scheinbar bei AZ nicht so üblich. Aber, jetzt kommt das große aber, für den Preis absolut OK. Warum jemand teures Geld für die Business Class ausgibt ist wirklich fraglich."

When we finally get to FRA, there’s no machinery to get us out of the plane because it was broken. Afger running to the cashier, we were told that she had no time and that we should go back to the agent to pay! We ran back and paid, then went to look for our gate. It was finally listed as Gate 12. We got though security ok and got into the line for Gate 12. It was more like a scrum tan a line. Nobod seemed to be doing anything when all at once we saw people boarding. We went to the gate but were told that our flight was boarding at Gate 10!!! WTF??? Gate 12 listed our flight number and Gate 10 listed another flight, but we did as were told and boarded via Gate 10. None of other passengers knew what the hell was going on but we all made it to Rome along with our baggage. We will NEVER fly Alitalia again."
