The bathrooms did not have warm water and the sense of comfort is to be found only in business and first class. We fly to Zurich a lot because we have family there and we always take SWISS for a direct flight. They have old planes, the little TVs by the seats may or may not work and although the crew is nice and well trained, they cannot substitute for the discomfort of 10 hours flights in a crammed place. Sorry SWISS."

Negativ: "First, they announced that they need some passengers to voluntarily give up the booking in exchange for 280 refunds (a slightly higher rate which not worth to do it) and 1 stopover the fight to Rome which will arrive at 22.00 instead (our flight is 17.35). About 15 minutes before boarding time, they announced flight delaying. Around 17.45, they announced gate changing from B to A which located at opposite side of the the airport so all passengers run there because of everyone afraid that their booking might be canceled because no one agrees to give up. At both gates, many people try to jump in the queue which no staff comes in the manage the queue. During waiting on the board, the air condition seems to be closed, hard to breathe. Around 19.00, the plane took off the Zurich airport eventually, finish the 1.5 hours delay. The captain announced that it cause by the technical problem of the flight earlier but my thinking it cause from over-booking."

I was wearing light jeans and a short sleeve shirt, and I was sweating all flight. Each time I asked throughout the duration of the flight, I was told it take a while for the temperature to decline. It's one thing to be uncomfortably warm on a flight; it's another thing when the flight crew lies to you. Further, I was not the only one to request that the temperature be reduced. This made an 11 hour flight particularly miserable."

Positiv: "The plane we were on between Zurich and Copenhagen was comfortable and modern for such a short trip. This was a stark contrast to the old SAS airplane we flew in the opposite direction as a Swiss flight. The staff on the plane were friendly and helpful."

We tried to hold this flight (the return flight that we had paid for in our round trip ticket) but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that they had sold our seats. We had to pay $250 USD to fly standby (and "reissue" the tickets that we had already paid for) on a flight that was oversold by at least 6, and we heard other passengers also being told their tickets were sold. Their customer service for the ticket change and the phone calls made before hand where they promised to hold our tickets, were so disappointing, it was like dealing with any US based airline. We won't be flying with them again."

Positiv: "Everything went smoothly on the rebooked flight the next day through Vienna to Newark USA. The flight on Austrian airlines was quite comfortable, good food and entertainment for the long flight. Boarding and deboarding all very smooth. Very helpful SWISS staff helped locate our luggage when we missed connecting flight the previous day."
Negativ: "Thunderstorm at Zurich caused delay of our flight into Zurich, and we missed original connecting flight to USA. Many other travelers affected and there were no other flights that day. One wonders if they could have held the flight for one hour or so to allow everyone to make the flight. There was a huge line, 2-3 hours of waiting, at SWISS transfer desk to rebook. It took another 2 hours to locate our luggage. I believe SWISS were required by EU regs to provide overnight accommodations and meals. But the hotel was 30+ km from the airport and we were not confident we would have transport in the morning to make our rebooked flight. Because we could not take the chance already being delayed by a day, we booked an airport hotel at our own expense. Overall experience of the missed connection was negative based on the airline's (SWISS) procedures, but the individual SWISS staff helping us were all helpful and made extra effort to accommodate."

I missed the food this time around, but it was a crappy cold sandwich when I took the same flight a few weeks earlier, but it's a 90 minute flight, so what do you expect?"
Negativ: "The boarding process was pointless While this is a quirk of the airport, the airline should change their procedure for this scenario. LATAM splits passengers into different groups: first class, special needs, priority because you paid, everybody else. That's fine at most airports. At Santiago's airport, however, passengers ride a bus from the gate to the plane, mixing up all the groups on the bus, so what's the point? Worse, special needs passengers were the first to get on the bus, but end up last to get off screwing over the elderly and those with small children. What a system!"

Positiv: "Da das Flugzeug aus Santiago de Chile kommt, handelt es sich um eine Langstreckenmaschine, in der die Beinfreiheit auch in der Economy-Class sehr komfortabel ist (ich konnte problemlos meine Beine überkreuzen). Das persönliche Entertainmentsystem bietet eine große Auswahl an Filmen, TV-Serien und Spielen und der Touchscreen reagiert sehr schnell und flüssig. Es gibt USB- und normale Steckdosen an jedem Platz. Zu Essen gab es ein belegtes kaltes Sandwich, einen Schokoriegel sowie heiße und kalte Getränke, was dem Angebot bei anderen Airlines auf dieser Strecke entspricht und aufgrund der Flugzeit zwischen Mittag- und Abendessen auch ausreichend ist."
Negativ: "Der Check-In-Prozess in Madrid ist aus meiner Sicht idiotisch gestaltet: Zunächst muss man sich anstellen, um an Selbstbedienungskiosken die Aufkleber für das Gepäck auszudrucken und an den Koffern anzubringen, danach muss man zum bemannten Schalter gehen, um die Reisedokumente kontrollieren zu lassen und das Gepäck aufs Band zu stellen. Durch das eigenständige Ausdrucken der Etiketten spart man dem Check-In-Personal eine Arbeit von vielleicht 10 Sekunden pro Koffer – die Reisenden verlieren aber mindestens 15 Minuten beim Anstehen am Automaten, von denen es nämlich viel zu wenige gibt. Es ist mir völlig schleierhaft, warum LATAM auf diesem zweistufigen Prozess besteht, da man letztendlich ja doch zu einem Check-In-Agenten muss (und nicht, wie bei Lufthansa in Frankfurt, die gesamte Gepäckaufgabe automatisch läuft) und somit noch nicht einmal Arbeitskräfte eingespart werden – im Gegenteil stehen bei den Automaten zur Unterstützung sogar noch zwei zusätzliche Mitarbeiter. Es sollte also entweder auf das eigenständige Ausdrucken der Kofferetiketten verzichtet oder auf eine vollautomatische Gepäckaufgabe umgestellt werden, bei der man wirklich zu keinem Menschen mehr muss. Beim Boarding stellen sich die Passagiere nach Sitzreihe sortiert an, allerdings sind die Trennbänder zwischen den Gruppen viel zu kurz, sodass am Ende der Schlange alle Passagiere vermischt stehen. Stattdessen sollten die Fluggäste nach Sitzreihe zum Boarding aufgerufen werden, sodass auch wirklich nur diejenigen anstehen, die auch wirklich gleich an Bord gehen werden. Die Filme und TV-Serien an Bord sind, wenn überhaupt, nur auf Englisch und nicht auf Deutsch verfügbar. Untertitel gibt es in keiner Sprache."

Die Innenausstattung des Dreamliners ist zwar etwas älter aber in der Business-Klasse sehr großzügig. Die Entertainmentauswahl ist umfangreich. Wie es sich für eine südamerikanische Fluggesellschaft gehört, gab es eine große Auswahl an Latino-Rhythmen."

Best fight ever. Landed 1 hour early.

The information about the immigration kiosk at the boarding gate should have been much more clear. The staff was very helpful, both at the gate and on board. Once we boarded, the flight was delayed for and hour and a half, which is a very long time to add to an already long 8hr 50min flight. It would be great to add a rule/request that people not recline their seat at all until after meal service. On board staff were fantastic- very efficient and kind.
