There were two service representatives to take me on the golf cart from my gate in Terminal 1 when I landed to the bus departing from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4 where my connection was. It was unexpected, but saved a lot of stress based on the distance I had to travel within the airport to make the connecting flight."
Negativ: "They recently moved the Cathay Pacific flights to the new Terminal 4 in Changi in Singapore. The connecting distance was significant to get from the Terminal 1 gate to the bus leaving from Terminal 2 to get to Terminal 4. Changi is usually VERY efficient, but this was a real inconvenience to not have direct transport from T1 to T4. Also, the lines for Cathay are not properly sorted by First/Business and all status frequent flyers. There were no ropes or anything organizing the queue, so there were well over 150 people lined up for the priority boarding with no clear queue. At that point, there is no priority. Time to get better organized."

As I had ordered a Hindu meal, I was served the same dish from Zurich to Istanbul and 2 more meals from Istanbul to Miami - of the SAME meal. Thee was no variety offered for me at all. The entertainment system did not work half the time as there was no access to recent movies etc. The flight attendant (male) spilled water on me, while trying to serve me and I was soaking wet from water from the bottle on my shirt and pants - and besides thrusting a few paper towels at me - nothing else was done and the flight attendant did not check back on me to see how I was doing. The check in process was meh, with the staff in Zurich insisting that I could not be given a more comfortable spot with my recently broken foot healing. Yet in the flight to Miami so many seats were empty while I was squashed and was forced to buy my aisle seat. For such a usually excellent airline, this experience was not in its quality and class of its usual service. It was disappointing.

I travelled in business class and everything was excellent.
Staff is excellent. Friendly and helpful. Food was quite good. Boarding process is smooth and quick, and our flight was timely.

being a flight attendant and using spécial fare I apreciate being treated equally to the other pax, the fact that the crew, when I informed them of my status, went to check if I had a good seat ( no one beside me, to be able to get good rest.) Those are important gestures towards the person. I look to more flights with KLM

With the airport shuttle(CDVAL) to our airport hotel closed, they offered no assistance despite of my request. Simply asked us to take a taxi (when all taxi stands are abandoned at 2AM). Beware if traveling with family."

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."
Positiv: "The gentleman at the check out his name was Omar went over and above the call of duty for Customer Service me being an American he walked me through each step of using flybe via air France and paying for checking my bags and even the carry on luggage and getting me through security etc."

It's a short regional flight so the older, regional configuration of the seats is appropriate if not a little shabby. Offer of juices, Arabic coffee and dates before take off is very welcoming as is a choice of hot or cold towels. Flight was on time for take-off and landing."

Also, the boarding at Muscat’s new airport wasn’t great with the lounge telling us to board while, at the gate, boarding hadn’t started. MIght not be much of a problem except the kids were sleeping on our shoulders and there were no seats at the gates."

Negativ: "In Oman airs home airport there was no service desk. When the flight was delayed the sent 1 agent do deal with a full glitch’s worth of guests. Even though the delay was over 6 hours they gave no compensation besides lounge access to a lounge that is not fully functional. The next morning (yes the delay was overnight and they didn’t provide a hotel room) they called us all to the gate only to tell us they still were waiting for the plane to be repaired (the night before they’d Told us the flight would be in time as they’d flown another plane in). Again there was only one Oman air agent and just normal airport staff to handle the full flight. People were yelling and there was a lot of anger but no official announcements were ever made and only rumors passed from those who actually had a chance to talk to the on me guy. Finally when i arrived in Bangkok it seemed like they had there act together as there were many agents on the gangway to assist people to find connecting flights. Being so late there was only on flight for me and several others trying to get to Phuket. An agent took us to immigration and told us all he’d meet us in the other side to take us to the check in. HE DIDN’T SHOW UP. We couldn’t go back in the airport to find him or anyone from Oman air and were left to find an airport employee who graciously helped us find the booking office and just make the flight. I fly internationally regularly and this was by far the worst airline experience I’ve ever had or even heard about."

Also no direct connection to terminal, planes park out on tarmac and take people on 1 km bus ride to connect to terminal. Legroom was pretty tight but not horrid Crew making announcements on landing were unprofessional, heard co-pilot or steward laughing in the background - while captain droned on in Arabic - this does not engender confidence in their ability to fly the plane!"

It was embarrassing as we had brought luggage as per tickets issued. IF THE AGENT APPOINTED BY OMAN AIR HAD ISSUED A WRONG TICKET, IT IS THE PRINCIPAL WHO IS RESPONSIBLE WHICH IN THIS CASE IS OMAN AIR. IT WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE AND OMAN AIR HAS TO COMPENSATE. The entertainment screens did not work for quite some time."

I'm busy putting netbook away so my tray table will be empty. FA 'forgets' to invite me to eat. This is an Arab airline???! In 49 years of air travel I have never seen such a thing. I sit there wondering what on earth is happening. Weeks later I'm still bewildered."

Negativ: "Der Flieger, der anscheinend fix zwischen München und Muscat pendelt ist bereits über seine besten Jahre hinaus. Neben vielen kleinen, kosmetischen Mängeln, die mich nicht weiter stören, waren etliche Kopfhörer defekt, die Bildschirme in den Rückenlehnen lassen sich zwar klappen, kippen aber immer in die "nach unten Position" zurück, was das Multimediaangebot nahezu ungenießbar macht. Außer man stopft diverse Gegenstände zwischen Sitzlehne und Monitor, sodass dieser seine Position hält. Das Personal könnte öfter mit einem Getränkeangebot durchgehen. 2x ein kleines Becherchen in 6 Stunden finde ich wenig und bewirkt, daß reger Verkehr zwischen Küche und Sitzplätzen herscht (nervig). Der Sitzabstand für Personen über 1,85m ist auch mehr als bescheiden. Um die Knie zusammenzubringen muß man ganz aufrecht, im Anschlag an die Rückenlehne sitzen, was meines Erachtens keiner macht, geschweigedenn durchhält. Allerdings ist dieser Umstand mittlerweile bei fast allen Fluggesellschaften zu verzeichnen. Aber mit Recht kann man die Economy als "Schweineklasse" bezeichnen, weil genauso wird man eingepfercht."
