I found a latam person that wasn't really dealing with this situation and managed to get him to talk to other latam staff about my visa appointment. It was pretty stressful for me to have to deal with the possibility of missing such an important event without a good reason."

Positiv: "Da das Flugzeug aus Santiago de Chile kommt, handelt es sich um eine Langstreckenmaschine, in der die Beinfreiheit auch in der Economy-Class sehr komfortabel ist (ich konnte problemlos meine Beine überkreuzen). Das persönliche Entertainmentsystem bietet eine große Auswahl an Filmen, TV-Serien und Spielen und der Touchscreen reagiert sehr schnell und flüssig. Es gibt USB- und normale Steckdosen an jedem Platz. Zu Essen gab es ein belegtes kaltes Sandwich, einen Schokoriegel sowie heiße und kalte Getränke, was dem Angebot bei anderen Airlines auf dieser Strecke entspricht und aufgrund der Flugzeit zwischen Mittag- und Abendessen auch ausreichend ist."
Negativ: "Der Check-In-Prozess in Madrid ist aus meiner Sicht idiotisch gestaltet: Zunächst muss man sich anstellen, um an Selbstbedienungskiosken die Aufkleber für das Gepäck auszudrucken und an den Koffern anzubringen, danach muss man zum bemannten Schalter gehen, um die Reisedokumente kontrollieren zu lassen und das Gepäck aufs Band zu stellen. Durch das eigenständige Ausdrucken der Etiketten spart man dem Check-In-Personal eine Arbeit von vielleicht 10 Sekunden pro Koffer – die Reisenden verlieren aber mindestens 15 Minuten beim Anstehen am Automaten, von denen es nämlich viel zu wenige gibt. Es ist mir völlig schleierhaft, warum LATAM auf diesem zweistufigen Prozess besteht, da man letztendlich ja doch zu einem Check-In-Agenten muss (und nicht, wie bei Lufthansa in Frankfurt, die gesamte Gepäckaufgabe automatisch läuft) und somit noch nicht einmal Arbeitskräfte eingespart werden – im Gegenteil stehen bei den Automaten zur Unterstützung sogar noch zwei zusätzliche Mitarbeiter. Es sollte also entweder auf das eigenständige Ausdrucken der Kofferetiketten verzichtet oder auf eine vollautomatische Gepäckaufgabe umgestellt werden, bei der man wirklich zu keinem Menschen mehr muss. Beim Boarding stellen sich die Passagiere nach Sitzreihe sortiert an, allerdings sind die Trennbänder zwischen den Gruppen viel zu kurz, sodass am Ende der Schlange alle Passagiere vermischt stehen. Stattdessen sollten die Fluggäste nach Sitzreihe zum Boarding aufgerufen werden, sodass auch wirklich nur diejenigen anstehen, die auch wirklich gleich an Bord gehen werden. Die Filme und TV-Serien an Bord sind, wenn überhaupt, nur auf Englisch und nicht auf Deutsch verfügbar. Untertitel gibt es in keiner Sprache."

Zur besagten Abflugzeit war an Gate 48 kein Flugzeug und keine Crew. Die Leute, die dort warteten habe ich informiert, dass das Boarding an Gate 43 stattfindet. Die Innenausstattung des Dreamliners ist zwar etwas älter aber in der Business-Klasse sehr großzügig. Die Entertainmentauswahl ist umfangreich. Wie es sich für eine südamerikanische Fluggesellschaft gehört, gab es eine große Auswahl an Latino-Rhythmen."

Ich musste 3 Sitzplatzreservierungen bezahlen, 1 davon völlig unnötig. 3 - Gate Änderung von 92 auf 98 in Palma de Mallorca unmittelbar vor der Rückflug sodass ich fast mein Flug nach München verpasst habe. Den ganzen Stress und 2 extra Gebühren kann ich mir ersparen wenn ich mein Ticket direkt in der Reiseagentur kaufe."

They also were extremely unfriendly because our incoming flight from Malaga was late . All 4 pieces of luggage missed the flight and in NYC we had to ask for robes to sleep in and tooth brushes. we felt horrible flying the next day. Three pieces of luggage came 2 days later that we had to go back to airport to get. The fourth was delivered one week later with only 3 wheels!"

Deshalb stand am Check-in-Schalter dann eine Mega-Schlange an, obwohl der Online Check-in vorher schon erfolgt war. Schlechte Englischkenntnisse des Flugpersonals. Kopfhörer für die Fernseher müssen gekauft werden (2,50 €). Der Verkauf beginnt jedoch erst eine Stunde nach dem Start. Bis dahin kann man sich mit Lippenlesen beschäftigen. Die Kaffeebewirtung wurde ab der Hälfte des Flugzeuges unterbrochen wegen Turbulenzen. Verständlich! Nur wurde der Rest der Passagiere danach nicht mehr bedient. Wer unbedingt Kaffee wollte, konnte einzeln in der Besatzungskabine nachfragen. Die Toiletten müssten bei einem Langstreckenflug unbedingt zwischendurch einmal gereinigt werden."

Please listen carefully to my below story that happened while my flight from Milan - Madrid ___ Madrid - Miami. I traveled on October, 16th from Miami - Madrid and while checking in to this flight, the gentleman on Air Europa check in desk , required me to pay for my luggage and my iternary already stated that my ticket allowes me to have one bag in cargo and one carry on baggage on board. After I met with the station supervisor and showing the receipt, she understood my rights and proceeded professionally checking me in and I made my flight perfectly all the way to Malpensa, Milan.. On October, 23rd, I was about to make my flight back from Malpensa, Milan - Barajas, Madrid to connect from Madrid to Miami as scheduled.. I proceeded in Malpensa ,Milan Airport to check in area number 5 on terminal 2, where Air Europa flight# UX 1066 is stationed to check in the PAX on this flight. Politely I asked the lady if it's possible to be seated by any emergency exits as I am ex - commerical 1st officer for almost 8 years and I will be able to assist in case of emergency, as I am familiar with evacation procedures.. she informed me that I have to pay for this service.. i totally understood and I didn't comment, while the lady reaction and the way she answered me, was really disrespectful.. Then she asked me to pay €150 for my luggage and I explained the same that happened in Miami airport.. but this time I was deeply disrespected by telling me YOU GO TO TICKETING OFFICE OR YOU WILL NOT TRAVEL...i asked the lady to speak to the supervisor.. the supervisor came after awhile and she was very kind, polite and helpful.. but she kept insisting that I have to pay for my luggage, even I showed her the flight iternirary staying that ONE LUGGAGE IS ALLOWED ON BOARD - 1ST BAG IS FREE - 2ND BAG COST $100... and I had only one bag... Then she saw the receipt and while reading it, another lady from the check in station needed the supervisor help, so she left and I found myself speaking to no one, except the lady who is in charge of my checking in process. Then I told her that it's not fair to pay for something that I already paid for. No one in life can imagine how rude, impolite and discriminating she was.. specially speaking to her colleague in Italian carrying a conversation that I can't understand at all.. but I was able only to understand one thing she mentioned many times while angry... ( La Arabo ).... Yes I am Arabic person from Egypt that love the world from east to west, South to north... and I am living in The United States Of America with a beautiful family that have friends from different cultures, religions and races... But I felt really discriminated at this point when she mentioned ( La Arabo ) many times.... Then she looked at me saying OK AIR SIR ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR YOUR BAG OR YOU ARE OK TO MISS YOUR FLIGHT ?"
Negativ: "I honestly told her (( SHUU )) because yes, I was feeling very disrespected and discriminated.. so it's fair enough to tell her (( SHUUU )) as I was looking at someone who is still discriminating people in 2017..Then I told her where to pay ? She directed me to the TICKETING office.. I went there and was really very sad.. not for paying, for how come someone can treat a customer like that... or even a human..then when the gentleman asked me for the credit card, I dropped it on his table.. Yes I know that I did it not in a nice way.. but then i apologized to the gentleman..  and you can ask him that I told him that you have nothing to do with this..  and I should apologize.. he gave me the receipt that I still have it that prove paying €150 for my luggage.. I went through security and then proceeded to my gate with a huge feeling of happiness that I will see my family in the U.S soon after a long trip.. The craziest thing even happened while I was proceeding to the boarding gate, the lady took my boarding pass and informed me that I am not allowed to board the airplane for security reasons..What???? Why??? What did I do??? No one talk to me... The lady who was checking me in earlier was turning her face and smiling.... can you imagine?????? Can you imagine the abuse????? Then I told her what did I do ??? I am not a bad person to not be allowed to board the airplane... I don't carry a gun or anything that threatening the safety on the aircraft..  and you know What??  I started to cry while I feel that I am deeply discriminated.... they told me that the captain has the rights to refuse you being on board... Again, as an EX Commercial Pilot, I know very well that for security and safety reasons for the aircraft, the PIC has the authority not to accept a passenger on board, in case that this pax is threatening the airplane verbally, visually, mentally and physically by showing any extreme illness symptoms that would put the life of passengers on board in danger.... DO I AM ONE OF ALL THIS?????? I am someone who is never being in a police department for any criminal purposes and never threatened any human being life... so why I am not allowed to board the aircraft and go back home to see my family and go to my work that I gain my salary from, to pay my taxes to the country that I am resident in, The United States Of America.. And if you are planning to decline my boarding process, why would you let me pay €150 for the luggage???? Isn't it really unfair???? We all work hard to afford our living... so why to do this for me whime I am leaving my family in America to travel for business to afford living for my family.... it's not fair by any meaning or language...."

Positiv: "Very comfortable plane with wide seats and nice reclining feature! Staff is very friendly. They are generous with the food and snacks."
Negativ: "Boarding was not loaded in zones. It was a free for all. Staff seemed annoyed that I asked for more water (I had asked 25 min prior and she asked me to wait for beverage service. When I got it, I chugged it and asked for more and they ignored me. I had to ask 3 times)."

Positiv: "The airplane was clean, and the staff were correct and professional."
Negativ: "The seating is very tight. I also didn't appreciate the ongoing videos on the main screens, many of which were distracting in a negative way. Boarding was also a bit chaotic. Rather than call us to the plane by rows, we were asked to form two lines, right at the moment of boarding, and the passengers all had to scramble together and jostle our way through."

Negativ: "I was taken back by the crew not friendly"

Positiv: "This flight was cancelled without notification, please contact me immediately."

Positiv: "Decently comfortable seating - Good flight staff."
Negativ: "Flight was delayed and boarding took longer than seemed necessary. Food wasn't so good and entertainment was virtually nonexistant."

Positiv: "Good entertainment and comfort seats"

Positiv: "The plane was new and clean. Flight staff was pleasant."
Negativ: "Late take off and almost missed connecting flight to US. The connecting flight was at the very farthest gate from where we entered the terminal. Saw many AE passengers from my flight with disabilities and children struggling to make it to their connecting flights in Madrid."

Positiv: "One attendant took care of an infant while a mother was suffering from a nose bleed."
Negativ: "Air Europa check in was at area 2, furthest corner of Zurich airport; no sign of which section of check in area 2 (1 through 5) the airline check in seciton is. You have to walk the entire area (seems like a whole separate terminal) to find the counters which were combined with 6 other airlines. Took only 20 minutes. Then to the opposite corner of the airport to board the plane to Madrid. WOW!"

Positiv: "Boeing 787 is a pleasant t airplane."
Negativ: "Cabin crew not very friendly. Coffee not good."

Positiv: "Crew were simpatico and attentive. Seats OK, but not lie flat, Food was fine althoug not excellent. Good price for a business class MAD SJU."
Negativ: "Boarding in Madrid was horrendous. After asking us to board the plane then held us in the "chute" standing up for 1/2 hour. Could have waited inside the terminal seating down! Entertainment in business was from the last century - no individual screens. An Ipad was handed to us resulting in a bunch of cables surrounding us through the entire trip."

Positiv: "Crew members were very friendly."
Negativ: "No free entertainment. Seats are too tight on economy."

Positiv: "The flight was very affordable and AE offered direct flights both ways (from Miami/Madrid & Madrid/NY)"
Negativ: "The food wasn't great. And the flight attendance could've been more outgoing and friendly."
