I used the Kayak website to order from and I felt a bit tricked, I responed to a good cheap price on the website but on site i was informed i needed to pay 3000 euro for deposit. A sum I wasnt expecting. Im sure it stood somewhere in fineprint but i would appreciate if surrounding costs like deposits and insurance were more transparent.Bewertet am 28. Juli 2023

On site cost of insurance is much higher than cost of entire rental. Push to buy their insurance and prepay for gas is a bit much - savings on gas/petrol are implied, but realistically few really bring back a car with zero gasoline in the tank. I wished I would have had some information about car insurance when I reserved the car. I tried to look into if I could use my own car insurance or to have an estimate price for coverage. Instead, when I pick up the car, I had to pay 200% of the rental in insurance. Not a pleasant surprise and I was in a foreign country NOT many options. I felt I was taken advantage of.Bewertet am 27. First time in Croatia and really appreciate Christian from the Dubrovnik Airport giving us advice on parking and driving in Croatia. It's quite difficult to find parking near the city centers, especially free, so definitely ask around. He also recommended that we get a bigger car with more horsepower because they drive quite fast on the highways, which was completely true. Car was clean and had no issues navigating narrow streets as long as you're extra careful.Bewertet am 13. Aug. 2022
